I would agree with you there is really no life in gambling but there are some who may not agree for they are really skilled in games of gambling. But for us who are not capable of doing this we might need to learn a lot first before we can do at least we have tried it once to know out luck if this will work out for us than never try and have doubts in mind.

i am sorry to hear about your loss, but i don't mean to be a dick but that is your own fault. this mindset that people have around here about gambling that they usually call it as an investment and in fact they suggest it to others who are seeking ways of earning money, this mindset is wrong and everybody will find that out one way or another.

Another one eh... Never gamble if you cannot afford to lose everything. Ask any professional gambler, it is not about how much you might or can win, it is how much you are willing to lose before calling it quits. Most professionals will never bet more than 1% of what they have in their bankroll

Have you ever heard about "ALL-IN"? I believe,all the professional gamblers at one point do come to a situation where major risks should be taken ,more like the odds forces you to.1% is too low for anyone who has been gambling for his entire life.If you follow Dan,check out his betting strategies ,he is  all open for putting everything he has if he thinks he needs to.

I disagree that there is no life in gambling because there actually is. Gambling is supposed to only be 'fun' and just a pass-time activity and shouldn't be considered as way to earn profit (except for the owners) unless you're a professional gambler that pretty much knows what to bet on and what to avoid.

Gambling will always lose, even if you ever win but to lose is always the most numerous. you are right, there is no life on gambling. but I myself is still playing gambling, because I feel I still have a good feeling on gambling, a few months this has always made a profit.

Gambling will always lose, even if you ever win but to lose is always the most numerous. you are right, there is no life on gambling. but I myself is still playing gambling, because I feel I still have a good feeling on gambling, a few months this has always made a profit.

There is no life in gambling if you gamble and expect to win some money. If you treat gambling as a source of entertainment, it would be ok.
It is almost impossible to make constant profit in gambling so don't become addicted to gambling.

well you made the biggest mistake which is ( losing everything ) , I can understand from this sentence that you haven't managed your roll well
and I disagree a lot with ( there is no life in gambling ) , when you calculate your risk and your edge you should do fine overall
you just can't play a -EV game and expect to keep making money playing it , but it's possible in poker and sportsbetting as long as you do your homework and manage your bankroll

There is one statement every gambler should remember " never bet the amount you can't afford to loss" and it seems you haven't heard this one. You shouldnt gamble if you cant afford it. Its not some form of work where you will be paid on the amount of effort you put in, its just pure luck, 99% of it.
If you judge gambling just by playing where you cant afford the loss, then there really isnt any life in it, but if you play to have fun and to feel the rush while
keeping it small enough that you can afford the loss, then its pretty amazing and interesting. sorry for your loss btw.

Gambling can be a double edged sword for many of us but if you look at it a broader sense you will see life is a gamble in most aspects. Its just the money aspect that can effect so much of who and what we are that it becomes more heightened.

I don't think there is anything in it. For some very select few yes. Personally I don't like living day to day worrying over risks and I would hate to chase after losses. Not a fun time. There is very little consistency.

Well, it depends what game are you playing..in games such slots, dice and roulette you can really lose all your money, but there is smart gambling where you can actually earn it...like texas holdem, or bets on sport...there is only one rule - don't be greedy!
