How is the exchange rate decided? Is it arbitrary?

The exchange rate is a significant markup over the current market rate of 1 BTC/20000 XRP.

The price of XRPs is rising, therefore I upgraded my prices. But it might not last, XRPs can drop like a stone.

I find it amusing that people are already accumulating and hoarding XRPs, which were intended to be used solely as transaction fees for the purpose of preventing transaction spam. They aren't supposed to be a currency unto themselves.

Anyone unhappy with my price can always make me an offer, I'm online most of the time.

Friends, don't sell your XRPs without asking my price, I might be able to beat most offers.

Well, XRPs dropped even faster than stones (Galileu showed that all objects fall at the same speed, but you understand what I mean), they lost about 75% of their best value.

Successful trade, my XRP for his BTC. Easy!
.5BTC for the 35k seems like a good deal to me.
