orders #108x. Paid in first hours of Feb. 2. Were entered in system by BitSyncom later, right before second wave. I hope the payment date is matter, not order #.

According to BitSyncom, payment date/time matters when determining the order in which units will be shipped for Batch #2.

You might have missed this. But order numbers dont matter on batch #2.

For clarification the shipping priority is as such:

Sorted from Highest to Lowest.

Developers - e.g. bitcoin core dev and other bitcoin contributor we feel deserve this treatment.
Trade-Ins/Old Customers - your unit will ship soon as we receive the FPGA and you've paid the difference.
Regular Batch #2 Customers - Unfortunately you are not special.

Nope I didn't miss that but yes, now looking on it, should of quoted this as well.  I was just repeating what was said by BitSyncom about in what order they would ship outside of any special designation a particular order may have.   Payment date & time (Walletbit is where you would find this out) does matter as well, not order number.

How quickly did Batch #1 and #2 sell out once they updated their site with the news?

Batch #2, the first wave sold out in minutes. I think the second wave sold a bit slower. The actual "sold-out" time is a bit mushy due to invalid orders, etc...

from the batch#3 announcment:
3, The shipment time of batch #2: Our team needs a vacation after months of day-and-night hard work, and we need time to summarize previous work, deal with issues and prepare the improvement of the future work. Further more, it takes time to produce the large amount of improved parts. So, the shipment of #2 will be delayed. Only a small amount of units will be shipped during late March to early April, but we will ship the batch #2 units in a super fast speed during middle Apirl to the end of Apirl.

They just released pricing for batch 3, and I think is insane! I busted by ass trying to save up enough to get one when they released the next batch, and guess what? That price skyrocketed! And for what? Are we getting anything different than those that paid 1500? No I think not....

Instead of jacking the price, just produce fewer if your worried about flooding the network... But dude, $8 grand?! REALLY?!

I'm appalled at Avalon for this kind of business practices... It might as well be $100 grand... jesus fuck, no one can afford to shell out 8k for god knows how long and just HOPE something gets shipped before new years?

Sold out to 95% very quickly.  Many people feel glad they could purchase some more units.

can anyone do the math on how much BTC one person can mine in a day if they start shipping batch 2 in April 15? and lets assume that BFL still hasn't ship...

Bitcoinica still has not given me 50% of my claim of 600 BTC

There's a guy here by name organofcorti  who posted a graph of expected monthly difficult levels  levels. you can plug the difficulty levels into bitcoinx.com to figure our gains.

Assuming all of batch 1 is shipped and hashing(it's not, but let's pretend), the 20th/s from batch 2 would put the network at 69TH/s, giving each 67GH/s miner 3.49 bitcoins per day. This isn't factoring in the time it would take for difficulty to adjust. until then, each unit should be able to make 4.9 bitcoins per day.

After batch 3, assuming BFL doesn't ship by then(they probably won't), each 3 module avalon should be able to make 2.2 bitcoins per day.

How does that make sense BATCH 3 will be able to get a RIO in one month?

Not considering downtown/electricity, 40 days. Faster block discovery before the difficulty adjustment should more than make up for electricity costs though.

this is all assuming no other new hashing power comes online. ASICminer and BFL could change this. If BFL brings 37.5TH/s from their first wafers, and ASICminer gets their stage 2 50TH/s rig online, by the time all of batch 3 is online, a 3 module avalon will make 1.226 bitcoins per day, so 72 days not considering electricity. at $0.10/kwh, in those 72 days it would cost $102 in electricity so all in worst case scenario if bitcoins stay at $75, within 75 days a batch 3 will pay for itself.

Is it a possibility that the shipping unit is mining with the units first for a while and then shipping them?
