When I got an email from Avalon containing the tracking number, I right away called DHL and asked them what they need to change a destination address. According to the person I spoke to, it is NOT possible to prevent changing the delivery address by the sender or by someone else who can give enough information about the receiver to impersonate the receiver.
And most important: If someone manages to change the delivery address, it will NOT be visible on the track and trace page.
As you can imagine, I had some worries until I got them...
So keep your order number secret. |

Is Avalon shipping with DHL Express or DHL Parcel?
DHL Express Thanks... so this applies to the old batches too where a package was rerouted from someone to another address? I only ask because im in email contact with the security department of DHL in germany because it looks to me like they have a security leak. So keep your order number secret. But what if you can call them and get the number because you claim youre the receiver? In fact i didnt even know that this number is secret. Everone is throwing them around. Buyers get them from seller, some are posting them in forums and no one knows that its secret and dangerous. But that wouldnt matter anyway if one can call DHL and get the number... |

One of the asicminer blades got stuck in the Serbian customs. Buyer's reported price of shipment was $39. After brief investigation inspectors found out the real price and are proceeding as fraud.
Important message to BitSyncom:
Could you please put on your website a price of batch#2 in dollars, next to the price in BTCs, which correlates to the amount noted on the shipment? For all of us who live in countries which have mandatory custom fees, this would come in handy. If only BTC price is noted someone could consider it as fraud as well, since it was then paid $1500 and now it says 75BTC, which is currently apx $10000.

Ordered Feb 10th 2013, arrived this afternoon. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=183598.0 ( For sale if you're willing to pay ) Components had a bit of caked on dust which wouldn't come off with an air duster.  As to why I received before some Feb 3rd orders, I'm not really sure. I did note issues trying to order on Feb 2nd and 3rd, perhaps I was bumped up in the queue because of that... |

Good call. And everyone is just cool with that? It must feel awesome to have your unit finally arrive, but why is almost nobody pissed off that Avalon basically fucked up everyone's expected ROI so that they could earn more money for themselves? |

Got my box today. DHL got their hands on it on May 28 around 1:30PM, it was delivered to my local city on May 29 at 8:41 AM. On may 29 at 10AM I went in and processed customs forms myself was charged roughly 100$ in taxes. Took me 6 hours to navigate the endless gauntlet of minions but was able to get my unit a day early by processing the customs forms myself.
My unit has dust caked as well. I don't think it was from mining so much as china having air so thick you can literally eat it.

On may 29 at 10AM I went in and processed customs forms myself was charged roughly 100$ in taxes. Took me 6 hours to navigate the endless gauntlet of minions but was able to get my unit a day early by processing the customs forms myself.
My unit has dust caked as well. I don't think it was from mining so much as china having air so thick you can literally eat it.
