Ok first of all long time ago someone (i forgot his name) on this community told me to invest on Ethereum and i invested 500$ on it... But for my mistake i store to all my coin to site http://ethereumwallet.org/ that got scammed and site closed and ran away with lots of people money if it was still in my real wallet i would have made 14x on my investment i remember buying those coin at 0.85$ from shapeshift... Now i have around 1K $ to invest on any other altcoin. which is the best now to invest on a altcoin...? Mate I also want to recommend CBX or crypto bullion it also have good opportunity and the dev giving away 30% free if you buy ot from cryptopia all you have to is to PM the dev team they will send another 30% of what you buy from cryptopia. you can check it here mate https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=951753.0;topicseen

You might wanna try the ICO instead. investing the coins that already exist on exchange seem to be only good if you can buy a lot of it for its the only way to profit. My suggestion for an altcoin is CREVA and SIB, i do think they are going to be valuable for the people in Korea and Russia.

Monero - secure, private and untraceable currency.

My picks are Monero and IOTA Token. First one doesn't even have GUI interface but it's already very well known and technically better than Dash. IOTA Token will explode after launch, you can maybe try to buy it on forum. Ethereum is a good investment too. Bitcoin - no way - it's suffocating and after halving, spiral death is expected, it will be unable to process transactions in timely manner - miners will switch of massively and time until difficulty adjustment is critical, people will start to cease using it. Thanks Blokstream.

It would be CBX for me due to the low inflation rate and few supply. Not to mention Pi wallet bringing 24/7 staking at a very cheap maintenance fees, APIs and other projects.

Doge or dash. People will eventually stop buying the shittier coins and start buying the older ones again. The prices tend to be a bit more stable. If you buy stuff like eth and lisk and all, you could easily lose your dough.
Not interested in Doge coin myself but I think Dash would be a good mid to long term investment, they just seem to always be releasing some new cool feature that keeps them standing out among all the other alt coins on the market.

Waves, DAO (both still in ICO-phase) and SYS. There are probably more promising alts out there but those mentioned are the ones I believe could yield a (significant) profit if you invest today. You might want to keep an eye on Lisk; it will be released on the 24th of May and an initial dump may occur, lowering values so you could hoard some Lisk cheap before it goes up again. Regarding Lisk, the dump-first-rise-later scenario is only theory and the reality could be different ofcourse.

LTC, Decred , DNET, Verge in the buyzone now Marging driven coins on Poloniex are still too expensive at the moment. Will not touch them until end of the year. Waiting to accumulate Monero at 50-80k SAT and Bitshares at 200-400 SAT this year

I would pick Gridcoin (GRC), as it is one of the more interesting coins out there. It's idea is brilliant but also easy to understand for people not in crypto before, see for example this thread that was on the frontpage of reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Futurology/comments/4b4drk/a_currency_minted_by_doing_science/t1_d16hch5Gridcoin (GRC) replaces mining with doing research for scientific projects, for example to cure Ebola ( http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/oet1/overview.do), fold proteins ( https://boinc.bakerlab.org/) or find aliens ( http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/). From a user's point of view, he simply has to run simulations from the different projects using the BOINC software ( http://boinc.berkeley.edu/). Then the network comes to a consensus, who has contributed how much computing power to BOINC, which can bee seen for example here ( http://www.gridresearchcorp.com/gridcoin/?result&t=CPID_Leaderboard). This process is decentralized among all nodes, there is no central server issuing all coins like it is for example the case with Curecoin. In some blocks this consenus is saved in the blockchain and the reward one gets when staking a block is proportional to how much research was recently done for BOINC by this researcher. Setting it all up has been quite complicated in the past, but the pool on pool.gridcoin.co has made alle this easier and already has more than 900 active miners/researchers ( http://pool.gridcoin.co/rankings) I also has very active development, here is the main forum: https://cryptocointalk.com/forum/464-gridcoin-grc/More information and tutorial to set it up here: www.gridcoin.us If you are interested visit our IRC: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net:6667/#gridcoin

Cannabis becoming legal should have a positive effect on several Cannabis themed coins that truly dabble in the trade. Do some research and make sure the coin has evidence of some kind backing up there claims with pics or vids. If the Cannabis themed coin has nothing but coders behind it without growers or Dispensarys it is no different than any other coin.

I think this is question every single man on earth is asking, so there isn't really answer to it. You have to do some research on every coin you want to invest in, and you should know that almost every coin can become scam. You say you have $1K, why don't you invest that in bitcoin? I am agree to your quote chief, but the answer is within our analyzation but merely our research about coin and decision making when investing on it.

Agree this guess , Can you make a Lisk to compare with Waves or Ethereal ?

Agree this guess , Can you make a Lisk to compare with Waves or Ethereal ? Nah, you can't fully compare those three alts as they're in different phases of development. Ethereum has already been on the market for months, Lisk is now between ICO and release and ICO of Waves ends at 31st of May I believe. Lisk offers a seemingly solid technology and could become a mayor player in the world of cryptocurrencies.

I would invest 70% of my capital in bitcoins, 20% in ethereum and the other 10% in a couple of promising new altcoins, but this is just a conservative opinion because I always will keep my confidence in bitcoin but more based on emotional things than on real facts.

1st things first, if you're going to invest in a cryptocurrency, get the software running on your own computer so you won't get scammed again. Relying on some 3rd party to store your coins pretty much defeats the purpose of cryptocurrency.
second thing, the altcoin to go with is monero.

I will give every time the same advice: - Look at the technology. No, not the number of "planned features", but look at the problem the cryptocurrency is trying to solve. If it's a relevant problem (like scalability or energy consumption), then you can take that coin into account. - Look at the developers. How is development organized? It's better to have a open model than a "monarch-like" lead developer or an completely anonymous "team". - Look at the community. Are they only in for the easy money? If most posts in the ANN thread are about price, don't invest. - Ignore advice from all members with an altcoin (ICO etc.) in their signature (or personal message )
