I see that GunBroker.com pulled George Zimmermans auction for his pistol and now the next site that is listing it is being DDoS'ed.

I'd like to contact him and possibly assist in the sale by using Bitcoins.

Any ideas how to get a hold of him?

He's an idiot, and anyone who thinks it's a good idea to auction the gun is an idiot. Sorry, that's just how it is. I would also argue that it's terrible PR for Bitcoin.

And I totally disagree,  bitcoin would survive and thrive.   Good luck BAC!

If he was found guilty this would not be allowed, presuming the states has laws against profitting off a crime. At best it is disrespectful of the family that lost their child, no matter how you saw the evidence.
Sick people would support this nut job, just look at the dumb stuff he has done since. Integrity is lost and you are no longer making a point by supporting him.
Also think its bad for bitcoin but I believe ina free market at the end of the day, no matter how dumb things get.

So everyone who exercises their human right to self-defense and is persecuted for it to the tune of perhaps millions of dollars in defense costs, should commit economic or actual suicide? "Innocent until prov... fuck it, guilty no matter what!"  Undecided

Yeah, this was SO DUMB: http://abcnews.go.com/US/george-zimmerman-emerged-hiding-rescue-family-trapped-suv/story?id=19735432

Where do you think won't be DDoS'ed? Not OpenBazaar (yet, as long as IPs are exposed).

What was he found guilty of?

So you are fine with his actions. Really this is about respect and you are unwilling to show a fellow human being that courtesy because your agenda is bigger than respecting the fact a kid died. Character means nothing because you think these issues are all trumped up, he was charged twice before the killing if you are still thinking I am being off side.
Maybe you do not care how other people are treated, thats your call but do not expect people to buy into what you are pushing here.

I'm an International Criminal Court prosecutor. I hereby charge you with genocide. Based on every act you have ever been accused of, no matter the character of the accusers, you are guilty, no possibility of doubt or presumption of innocence, so fuck having a trial. Enjoy your summary execution.

 Roll Eyes

For someone accused but not convicted of unlawfully pulling his gun in aggression as many times or more than the average law enforcement officer does "justifiably" in their entire career, why does he only have 1 DB on his hands and (potentially) deadly force trauma at the same time of that DB?

If someone attacks you, you DO NOT LET THEM BEAT YOU SO BADLY THAT THEY CAN TAKE YOUR GUN OFF YOUR UNCONSCIOUS BODY OR CORPSE. Brandishing your gun to deescalate someone else's assault, self-defense, is a human right.

@Thebutterzone
Step back from the pro gun line as thats not the issue I have, its a deflection from the issue and I do not think anyone here cares to much if you want to own a gun or not.
The issue is a family lost a child and selling the gun is rubbing their face in it. No matter how you view the case, you should know how to respect your fellow human beings.
Every other aspect is a sideshow to the issue that I entertained but think we are going off course.

Some examples that are the same:

- Protesting at abortion clinics as women go in
- Protesting  military funerals for anti gay views
- Burning the Koran

Hopefully you can see that its a ugly thing to do when you look at the pain it causes the family.

Your fixation on "feelings" is a deflection. Give it a rest. You don't attack other people, and if you do you risk being injured or killed should they retaliate. If a person is a teenager and hasn't learned this by now they deserve whatever they get.

Zimmerman was acquitted after being falsely accused for political reasons when all he did was defend himself from an attacker. He did not know the personal details of the attacker, and that's not even relevant in the moment.

If he wants to sell his gun, he can. There's nothing wrong with him doing that. It's not like he didn't endure any suffering of his own. The scales are balanced.

Bullshit. It's called economic liberty, as I said in my first post, to recover

perhaps millions of dollars in defense costs

Of course the family members responsible for raising what a jury de facto determined to be an attempted murderer deserve no "respect". Actions have consequences. They don't want to feel pain/guilt? They shouldn't have set him up to die.

Rachel Jeantel's testimony about TM calling Zimmerman a "creepy ass cracka" shows racial and/or homophobic bigotry and might go to motive for TM's surprise attack. If it wasn't for those words, all we'd be left with is that TM was a psychopath who saw someone's back turned at night with nobody else in sight, and that activated his prey drive.

Some examples that are the same:

- Protesting at abortion clinics as women go in
- Protesting  military funerals for anti gay views
- Burning the Koran

"Fuck freedom of speech and expression that does not physically harm anyone!"  Roll Eyes

Can you link where the legal fees are confirmed, I am seeing numbers all over the map and excuses like he treated the fund like a personal bank, koch industries paid and other off the cuff fud.

@Btcjoe
Its not emotional to disagree over decency, you may not care how it reflects on you or bitcoin which is fine. OP asked how it reflected on bitcoin community and I feel like I have a voice being part of it.
Have said all I want to say, personally suprised there are people like this but thats life.

Will bow out because the responses are not something I want to give anymore of a platform.

lmao @ $5k. Das not it.

Probably the only way for him to pull it off well is consign it with a shop and take offers through pm or email.

Maybe gunsinternational, where there is no bidding. Again, it'd probably be removed from their site too.

w/ automated bidding he's going to be trolled for eternity unless there is a strict identity verification process.
