(crossposted here: https://ripple.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=726)

I moved some funds from my ripple account by sending 2.06 BTC to WeExchange's "Direct Ripple Deposit"

The address I sent to was rpvfJ4mR6QQAeogpXEKnuyGBx8mYCSnYZi?d=999999999

(9999999999 replaces the numbers at the end of the address WeExchange gave me, just in case it doesn't need to be public)

but they haven't shown up after ~12 hours. They do show in my ripple history as sent.

WeExchange has this note on their "Add Funds" page:

Quote
Due to instabilities with the ripple daemon we have added the ability to 'locate' a lost deposit.
Simply enter the transaction 'hash' below, and the system will attempt to verify, and complete your deposit.

I opened a WeExchange support ticket, but where do I find thise transaction hash?

I had the same problem, but only sent 0.0001 to test the system. It seems that the ripple client doesn't recognize the last digits that seems to identify our "real" account at weexchange. I sent them a ticket, but no answer yet. I think the money went directly to the weexchange main account and so all will end alright, you will receive it, since you can prove you sent it. Weexchange has a good reputation.

The Rock Trading Exchange forges its order books with bots, uses them to scam customers and is trying to appropriate 35000 euro from a forum member https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4975753.0

What's up with the discount on WeExchange's Bitcoin IOUs?

In the client's internal BTC/XRP market, I can buy BTC/Bitstamp for 79,990 XRP.

But I can buy BTC/WeExchange for just 44,000 XRP. That's almost half the price. Is WeExchange not redeeming at the moment? That's the only thing I can think that would cause them to trade at such a large discount. Which would explain the above complaints.

What's up with the discount on WeExchange's Bitcoin IOUs?

So far as I know, no one was able to successfully withdraw BTC via Weex. I've tried to deposit BTC from Ripple to Weex following their instructions. BTC just disappeared from my Ripple wallet and did not appear at Weex account.

This explains the discount I guess - you can withdraw Bitstamp BTC IOUs, but Weex BTC IOUs are mostly useless until this issue is resolved.

Just tried to redeem a 0.02 Weex BTC IOU. No response. Redeeming Bitstamp IOUs happens in seconds.

If I am in a trust circle with someone who's extended trust to both Weex and Bistamp, does that mean I can use this person to transfer Weex BTC IOUs to Bitstamp on a one-for-one basis?

Hey Guys,

Sorry, I was not aware of this thread or I would have posted sooner.

There are two known issues with the rippled server that the ripple guys have been working on for us.

1. The subscription system that notifies our server of payments is not performing its duty. It originally worked, and worked great, and then something broke and its under investigation.

Since then to make things easier on people, I added a function to the deposit page so that people can copy/paste in their transaction id/hash of their deposit to WeExchange to manually claim/complete it.

2. Since then people began to report that the ripple server was claiming that their transaction id's/hash were unknown.
The ripple guys have found another bug where the server is not maintaining complete records all the time and are working towards figuring that out.

I have started manually enacting a procedure every few hours that corrects for the 'unknown' transaction problem.

If you have a missing deposit, you can get your transaction id/hash from the ripple client, and paste it into the box.

If you need further help, please do not hesitate to pm me here on the forums, or call the WexExchange toll free number! Smiley

We look forward to seeing Ripple succeed and will help anyone who has problems with ripple. Smiley

Where do you find this id/hash in Ripple client? In Wallet->History, all you see is this:

Date   Source / Destination   Amount   Balance
Feb 27, 2013   Weex         4BTC   1.0225BTC

You can apparently click on the history row in the JS Client on ripple.com.

OK, I get this id by clicking on history entry:

4F6497B82D37CE803E42347830D8F3FC7D6069F0A48FAC68EC00E302A2FA96DC

When I input this into your "Check payment" field, this is the response I get:

'Sorry, that ripple transaction hash is not known by the network.'

But, it is reported as cleared by Ripple network. Now, what do I do?

Give it a try now. Smiley

It did in fact clear, in ledger 288152. For some reason, servers don't seem to be able to get from the transaction to the ledger in which it cleared. I'll try to track down what's causing this bug.

Update: I found the cause and should have a fix shortly. It actually would have fixed itself eventually. While the underlying database is correct, the cached version of the transaction didn't have the reference to the ledger in it.

Update: A fix for this bug has now been pushed.

Oh, finally it worked. Thanks for your help, Ukyo!

Now let's see if I'm able to withdraw it from Weex to my own wallet....

Np, you shouldn't have any issues with that. hehe Smiley

I've got 1 BTC in my ripple account but when I try and trade or withdraw I get this message "Trade failed, reason: Missing/inapplicable prior transaction"

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

That's a known bug, but I thought they fixed it recently. Try reloading the client.

Last I checked, yep. I've withdrawn BTC from Ripple through them without so much as a hiccup.
