Yeah, both has got high risk involved but both gives better earning. To be on the safer side its good to invest, so that can get a good earning in the long run but with gambling its possible to earn at the shortest time as well can loss.

Even in short term also no guaranty of earning money in gambling because it purely depends on only luck and without luck you can't win any money in gambling. So if you want to earn money the best option is only investments and as you said gambling is only for fun and entertainment.

You dont really need to understand how gambling works if you are just going to spend it all in just one time because all you need will be some luck. There are just the same with risk but investing has lower risk than gambling which has the higher risk because it comes all with luck. With investments, it is consists of luck,knowledge,time and skill and if you will apply all of it then you will have a very successful investments. And with gambling there is a lot of chance of losing even you don't have those qualities.

If you are gambling, you cant profit in the long run. Those who profit in the first few times will return to gamble more because they believe they have the skills to win. So they will end up losing to a point that they realise that this is then the real truth.

The gambling is not short time profit, actually, it is short time loss. Only lucky and limited people can make short time profit in gambling.
