Having 1 bitcoin is better than having none. It is possible that after August 1, bitcoin will rise again and maybe get higher. But I also think that it is also possible that the split might be true. I am really worried of what may happen but some people told me to don’t worry because this had happened before. I must admit that this is my first time experiencing a huge dump in price.

I was planning to invest using the money that I have earned but now that the price is going down, I think I might keep it instead and take safety measures. This will be better than using it to gamble.

I think your choice to buy hardware and mining bitcoin it's too nice when you want to invest.
We should avoid to invest in sites, because you put your money in people hands and maybe you can be scammed by them. I have a bad experience about investing in cloud mining sites, which i scammed, and i lost a lot of money.
So, i think the best investement is to keep your bitcoin in your wallet, and wait for the price to increase or to start mining at home.
