It’s been a while now since the original developer abandoned us, No message! No answers! No updates! and more importantly No hope for Litecred. This has left many Litecred community members doubting as to whether to continue following the project or to leave. Many questions ask, many investors leave and many traders dump leaving Litecred to die a slow death. We discussed among us the faithful, why let this happen when we can do something, why let Litecred down when all we want is Litecred! Then comes the answer! To reshape and revive or promising currency Litecred. This is not a brand-new Litecred but the same old one with slightly modified protocol. A Litecred that is here to stay, one that will resist and come back even when it's rejected, dumped and stumped, one that will see progress among other Altcoins and its competitors and will be known everywhere even in the books we read at school, the restaurants we eat, the mechanics that fix our car, to the local phone shops where we buy our phones and prepaid cards.

Please, share your opinions and ideas as we rebrand Litecred to make it attractive, contribute whatever skill you have to make it a better cryptocurrency.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE SWITCH TO THE NEW WALLET TO CONTINUE MINING LITECRED.

Download both windows and linux binaries

OLD WALLET HAS A CHECKPOINT AT BLOCK 14, DELETING YOUR DATA WILL PREVENT THE FORK FROM SYNCHRONIZING.
SYNCHRONIZE FULLY WITH OLD WALLET BEFORE MOVING TO NEW WALLET!

More Info coming soon...

What is Litecred?

Litecred is a new cryptocurrency with the characteristic of self-funded development, via block subsidy of 11.4% for each minted block. That 11.4% will be not directly usable at the beginning of the development stage but it will be achieved at PoW end, this means we are going to receive only around 0.8% every month. This will guarantee a small and continuos flow to the developers, in order to mantain the project active. There is no developer premine at launch. Funds collected from mining will be held in a public address and will be used for future development and/or given to users with proven skills that will help us with improvements/marketing and promotion.

Litecred wants to be intended as Decred side-project. Considering Decred as Bitcoin 2.0, Litecred wants to be Litecoin 2.0

As many people ask question about the recent fork, i have decided to clear the air on this issue.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE FORK Litecred v1.2.1

The result of a hard fork is two block chains growing independently of each other from the point of the fork. Essentially two independent “coins” emerge (let's call them litecred1 and litecred2), and however much litecred you own pre-fork will be duplicated to both litecred1 and litecred2. This is important because it means that as long as you control your own private keys, you WILL NOT lose any litecred during the hard fork process.

Example:

1) You own 25 litecred before the fork

2) Fork happens

3) You now own 25 litecred1 and 25 litecred2

As miners move away from old wallet(litecred1) and upgrade to litecred v1.2.1(litecred2) litecred1 fades slowly until no one exist on that blockchain leaving just litecred2. This does not mean that litecred1 is totally dead, if miners decide to use the old wallet, litecred1 will pickup from where it stopped. at the end the Mojority of miners and nodes determine which fork raigns.

Thats because they are down.
We need to inform everyone running the old wallet to switch to the new fork including the exchnages.
they will be up in some few min to begin the new fork.

Is there any need to upgrade?

Yes! your transactions will be stuck in the old chain.
Upgrade is important since the new chain will take over when mining from the new wallet begins.

Perfectly safe! But the exchanges must update their wallet to prevent people from transferring LTCR over the old chain.
