I will choose Dgold(DigitalGold) for a new name, I hope DigitalGold can survive like gold from various centuries with the stable value and can become a good currency for everyone into currency digital form. with various situation DigitalGold can be a good expectation for long time.

Unicoin would be a nice name. It could mean a unique coin, a universal coin, plus it sounds like a mythical creature. It's all good for me. This could make BTC prices surge even higher, what with its wicked-sounding name.

The protocol should have been named: The Blockchain Protocol

The currency should/could have been named: Blockcoin

The distinction between the protocol/technology and the currency would have made things easier to understand, imho.
