Bitcoin is already a good name and suits it well, I can't think anything else now. Maybe if you've asked me this question at the time of bitcoin's rise, maybe I'd have some thoughts  |

I don't think that there can be any better name for bitcoin, I think its the best name it can have and now we are so used to this word so we cannot expect any other word for it.

However, I f you insist, I would go for "DigiCoin" wow someone actually like my idea! maybe i'm good at naming. you have got a good taste, my friend. Say the Bitcoin community would ask you for a new name; a new name must be chosen for Bitcoin.
What would be your proposal?
haha, I never thought someone would ask such question. well, probably I will choose "ditcoin" for "digital coin"  it sounds mainstream, but that's the only name I got. what do you say? 'ditcoin' sounds really ridiculous in my language. can't help laughing with that name. from 'digital' to 'dit' seem not quite legit. call it 'digicoin' instead. 'digicoin' is a beautiful name, sound quite catchy. |

Well its an okay name but honestly I like the name bitcoin itself, I would name it exactly like it is named now, a bitcoin is just sounding so good in my ears. |

I think "BITCOIN" is the best name ever  , but if i should choose better name i would like "HUCO" HUMANITY COIN, its good i think but still like somekind of joke. hehe |

No better name than Bitcoin in my opinion. Bytecoin was a close second, but bitcoin just sounds so much better. Bit standing for digital 1s and 0s it fits so well.

Bytecoin is looks like a fake site name for scammers Really so bad name, if i was a regular newbie, i will never press on link with name bytecoin. |

Very nice question, I was surprised when I saw this topic. I didn't think about it before at all, and now I'm reading comments and I'm smiling what ideas people have.
Bitcoin really sounds the best. People who made it they really hit it, no matter how will try I don't believe we can think of something better. But at least we can have some fun.
Digicoin is ok, but its more suitable for some alt coin. Bytecoin sounds a bit funny to me.
Well after some time of thinking only good name that I can offer is a bit combination from some suggestions here and its digcash, or maybe digicash.

It took 5 years to promote Bitcoin and become mainstream by changing it's name we will need more years for people to know that they already change the name..So I will not propose a name could be you are just fishing for a new name for your new altcoin.. |

bitcoin is really are the best name why would change that?, but just for fun if i would choose a new name for bitcoin it would be U-coin ,stand for "ultimate coin" it is catchy and sounds like youtube, youcorn and youjazz  that when people heard ucoin they already know its in the internet. |

Bytecoin already exists though. I've been mining quite a few amounts of this infamous altcoin for a few days now. Check out https://bytecoin.org/ and you'll see that's already been in circulation for nearly 3/4 years now. |

I think bitcoin was a good name,but If you ask me choose a better name maybe that is worldcoin or universalcoin because there are many people in different country use bitcoin.that's my oppinion  |

I would still go with the name bitcoin. That is the best name for me but if it really needs to be changed, I would suggest SN - for Satoshi Nakamoto, or BOTcoin - Best of Technology coin. |

i dont think people will find better name than bitcoin for the best crypto currency,its like you should find another and better name for "love" might if satoshi answer this,its more interesting,i wonder what a second name for bitcoin in satoshi idea  |
