***knife is no longer available, sold***

This blade was from a limited 500 unit run of solid blue blade.  There are minor scratches on the blade but just cosmetic.  It's never been used, so I suspect the blemishes are from my various moves and perhaps rubbing on something during said moves or a drop, but I honestly don't know..  I think I got it in '94.  No original box, I would send it in it's sheath in a USPS box.

Steel is 1095 and hardness at 58rc.  The tang is a full tang (runs the full length of the knife and width) which adds to the usefulness for helping balance and effectiveness, and is wrapped in (I believe) paracord.

I'm asking $200 (payable in equivalent btc) and this will include the price of shipping to US addresses.

Ek knives were made with the military in mind, and are built tough.

The sheath has a ring on the bottom for tying a lanyard (lanyard not included) to tie around your leg to help keep it from flopping about while you run.

You are correct. The wrapping on these blades is 550 paracord.
The logic is that if needed you could unwind the paracord and use it for survival needs (snares, bows, shelter etc).

I still carry 15m of paracord in my daysack even though I left the army like 7 years ago now.
'It's better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it'.

I would buy it myself, but I live in the UK and they look down very badly on knives...

That's an extremely nice knife. Wish I could find a use for it. Gotta love the carbon steel blades.

Had I not bought an Ontario bayonet a while back, I'd be considering using this as my "shit hit the fan" blade.

for reference

Sold!  I will let the buyer comment in the thread if he wants once he has received the knife.

Tonto's knife came in today. Exceptionally well packed, especially for something so sturdy. The knife is great and is exactly as described. Tonto was great to talk to and I was happy to do business with him.

Appreciate it! :-)
