Hello, this is for your consideration --

I might be mistaken. But I believe most of the time, sites that promote "investments" or ponzi-like sites are usually placed in Investor-based games forums under Gambling section.

However, recently, many of these new "investment" sites are being posted and promoted on Service Announcements. This, I think may be detrimental to the  reputation of Bitcoin community.

Some examples:

Thank you.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Seems like they're trying to escape the grasp of those who 'protect' people from getting scammed by giving out warnings and negative ratings. It's nothing special really, just report them when you see them. I've already moved one of them (prior to seeing this thread).

Will we get any penalty if we keep on using the report function?

This one looks dodgy too: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1061770.0

I don't think there is any penalty, unless you try to spam moderators' inbox.
The only downside is your report accuracy will come down if your reports are incorrect.
