Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Dev - a question for you:

If network hashrate is same as the pool hashrate (checked that quite a few times) - how come that pool finds ~40% of blocks or less? Who's finding the rest?

This leads to a question why is solo-mining disabled (seems like deamon can't start in server mode)?

Some blocks were stuck and as a result the stats are incomplete. We are working on this issue to release pending payments.
The reason solo-mining is not available for an external miner is simple - unlike many other coins Revolver coin is based on the latest Bitcoin Core v0.12 which doesn't support getwork protocol. There is a special version of sgminer with GetBlockTemplate protocol support (Groestl's sgminer) but this needs time to be implemented.
By the way daemon can be started in server mode.

Another question (hopefully, this one will be answered):

/usr/bin/ld: librevolvercoin_common.a(librevolvercoin_common_a-blake.o): relocation R_X86_64_32 against `.rodata' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
librevolvercoin_common.a: error adding symbols: Bad value
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Makefile:2928: recipe for target 'revolvercoind' failed

How can I resolve this error? (Again, I'm using Ubuntu 15.04 64bits, and I have installed all the dependencies).

Thanks in advance.

I can help you to restore/recover your wallet or password.

oh,no good the virus stuff

I doubt there are any viruses if ocminer has checked through it. Are you trying to scare miners away?

Look jimlite post

maybe is.

Im currently mining this coin so

edit: I have compatibility problem with my rig 2 too

I can't mine with 2 7850 and one 290 on x11evo,I don't know why,it make driver crash or computer freeze.(got msg problem with blake.cl not found,or fail,when its there)

Then, after let these two 7850 mine it close by itself(sgminer) after an hour of mining without crashing pilot

Also this 290 work perfectly im mining on dagger too with another miner(not sg)

Great magician programmer, please fix it on next miner update Smiley

Should I use -w 64, 128 or 256 for my AMD 280x GPU ?

Can anyone else with the same GPU please post their config settings to compare ?

Dev or anyone else that can put in their 2 cents... How do you compile the CPU miner on a Ubuntu 14 Server & mine to a pool ?

This is the source that the Dev posted to the X11Evo CPU miner: https://github.com/RevolverCoin/cpuminer

Hey

I've test couple of setting. My 280x don't do anything really if I change to 64,128 or 256. But otherwise, the 290,270x and 7850 are more sensible ,reaching like 100-300 kh+(powerfull gpu, lower w, cheaper gpu, higher w) I've put 64 on mine with 2,300kh/s for your question.

Also im very disapointed by 290 performance on x11evo ,doing only +300-400kh more than my 280x

Edit:

Im using 15.7 for my R9 rig and lastest crimson for 2x 7850 and 290

Are you guys still getting the initializing kernel evocoin.cl after every few accepts? What drivers are you using? I'm using the latest crimson drivers and it keeps looping with accepts decreasing until sgminer finally crashes and the driver stops responding.
Don't know the ETA of the updated miner that is why I need to work with what we have ATM.

I keep getting that too as I also think everyone else is, it still finds shares, it usually happens with new algorithm coins and the whole chopping together with an existing miner for it to work, even the best share never shows up or rejected/accepted.

The only thing I am slighlty worried about is the efficiency of it, the algorithm seems to run cool though in its current form.

Edit: Mine doesn't crash or cut out and I am on AMD 15.2 drivers.

Infused older driver files into folder and it seems to give me less errors, at least the driver doesn't crash anymore. Using the files from 15.7.1.
I'm sure once the fixed miner comes this is going to be a fun coin Smiley
Hmmmm it would be great if wolf0 made some optimized bins for this algo, it is super cool with gpu working at 100%, but could use a few performance tweaks.

The new sgminer binaries work way better then the previous ones, they also now show best share, work utility and a more accurate 5secs/Average time.

I would also like to know how to setup and mine to a pool with a few PC's that only have CPU's ?
