What i don't understand are people who are rooting for one coin on another full of anger Cheesy

The things is i don't care which coin will prevail, i will just switch to another one which will give me profit, im not family connected either to Bitcoin or Ethereum lol.

I think currently bitcoin difficulty is already astronomic, after halving miners won't be too happy and might switch to another currenty which might cause bitcoin transaction to be even slower then they are now.

Ethereum on the other hand is mined other way than the bitcoin so it will not be bitcoin killer when it comes to mining switch due to difficulty and reward. But mining switch might kill bitcoin price i think and people will turn their BTC into some other progressive coin such as Ethereum or Lisk or whatever.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

For me, I want to use a coin and hold it for the long term, so I want to buy the coin with most potential.

Bitcoin seems to be the past and Ethereum the future.

The question is : when BTC will worth almost zero? Next year? In 2 years? Smiley
And why would they turn zero any clear explanation on this, well I guess Bitcoin has been declared dead for so many times but it did not even reach two digit in the market..

The Etheruem is still in very early stage. It was under development since later 2014, it is just two years old.

Can a currency be based on the Ethereum? I thought it is just a fuel for smart contract or DAO.

I think it is possible to use the Etheruem to buy thing as long as the shop accept it. But I do not see one shop.

It is hard to see shops that accepts bitcoin what more with ethereum. It is already harder to find a good online wallet site that accepts altcoins specially when it comes to local bitcoin exchanges.

It will take some time for many shops to accept bitcoin. It will take much longer for them to accept Ethereum.

I can't find any logical reason why someone will exchange  Bitcoin to Ethereum or Lisk permanently, maybe for profitability but they need to change it back to BTC or worst sell them for cash.  One of my concern here is the unlimited supply of ethereum, basically the idea of supply and demand will greatly take effect in here.  And mining isn't the one that dictates the coins price.  Miner just follow the one with the highest profitability.

Bitcoin seems to be the past and Ethereum the future.

This is  pathetic assumption in my opinion, Bitcoin is still at its early stage , there is still a huge space for development.

Well Bitcoin has its own place, It will never be dead no matter whatever alt coin pops up. Halving is near by and there's a lot of prediction in the market already and one thing is clear as the days are passing by more and more people are showing their interest in Bitcoin and that will make it more valuable in future. On the other hand Ethereum as a relatively new comer in the crypto world is showing pretty impressive progression. But future of it is still in question.
