Strange that you guys don't have attention, the OP is saying he is using bitcoin core, isn't it 47 GB at least and now the new version even bigger than his C drive of 57 GB.  If you OP have already installed bitcoincore you have to uninstall it of course be careful with wallet.dat if you have some bitcoins in it.  I think Windows as a system is pretty weak and if the problem is not bitcoin core big file, then it is a Windows system and I am afraid only a fresh re-install would help you here.

get a portable hdd and transfer all files on to there and chuck that existing hard drive away. thereafter buy a seagate or wd scorpio black and you should be fine just Remember don't smack you're computer about because it will cause vibrations and those vibrations will render the disk useless or some kind of problem like delays in opening apps and files especially massive files from 1gb and over

The problem dont' seems RAM usage, but his hd.
A application like icloud, dropbox or a blockchain is causing havoc in his system. I had the same thing with my brother's pc a while ago.

Try to download this tool:
https://windirstat.info/

Or any other tool that can count the directory size from the top folder

P.S. in my brothers case it was an open torrent download application. So every time when we removed files, the download filled it again.

I need help in windows 7 Ultimate..

My C Derive got full (out of space) once. and I removed lots of useless software and stuffs to clean my Local Disk.. but after some time I found that my local dist again showing me low Disk Space.. even I didn't installed anything on my computer new..
so basically my Local Dist Eating my storage automatically and I need a solution for this. I don't want to repair or re-install the windows.

Some one here could help me about that?

I'll give a tip anyone who resolve my problem..

Are you still having issues with your drive? Generally, the things to consider are cleaning your files (ccleaner, disk cleaning), thoroughly uninstalling unwanted programs (iobit uninstaller), looking for threats (spyware doctor, avast). You may also check your task manager to see if your system is on high cpu usage even if it doesn't seem to do a thing, which means you have a process doing probably nasty stuff (a virus).

They already said the best ways to solve your problem.
I also had frustrations yesterday about my C: disk space.
But CCleaner solved my problem.
The problem was the temporary files accumulated for a long time and I was not periodically deleting it.
Instead of deleting it manually, I used CCleaner and it worked like a charm.

The best solution for you to just re-windows your computer. format your hardesk, specially C Drive and then again install windows. I think your computer have virus and they won't clean until you format all.

Yes, The issue is still exist. I've used ccleaner several times. seems that my problem is something else. and yes, I've scan my computer with ant-virus too. there isn't any virus.

I really can't backup these much stuff. I don't have any alternative storage. and yest I've tried almost all the methods and suggestion given here by so many users. but my problem didn't solved.

Update: I am still looking for a solution for my missing driver's space. I will pay 0.01btc to anyone who tell me a valid Idea.

Thank You.

At this point I think that the only real solution available to fix your problem is formatting your drive and installation of fresh OS.
You said that you don't have space for it. Well, SSD and HDD or storage devices in general are now cheaper than ever, bitcoin price is high.

I would be going crazy by now, if problem like yours were present on my PC.

One last thing: have your tried to check if there are some unusual events listed in Microsoft Management Console aka Event Viewer?

☞type this cmd into the small search box and hit enter on keyboard:

%temp%
Prefetch

I also recommend constant use of ccleaner it will help to ensure your computer is free from from those junk files that occupy 60% of available space.

Thanks

Okay so the problem still exists.
Have you tried this?

1. Go to Windows Explorer (Start Menu -> Computer).
2. Type this in the search box -> size:gigantic
3. Wait for a few minutes for the files to load and then you'll see which files uses a lot of disk space.
4. Google for the files if they are useful or safe to delete.

I tried this and it didn't work. I did not now this command or search phrase but windows 7 don't seems 'accept it.' It keeps loading for a few seconds, and then the default search result is shown.

Yes, The issue is still exist. I've used ccleaner several times. seems that my problem is something else. and yes, I've scan my computer with ant-virus too. there isn't any virus.
Let's assume you ran ccleaner (data/app cleaning and registery cleaning), have you ran disk cleanup? Right click on you hard drive, select properties, then select disk cleanup, once it has ended finding what to clean, click on clean up system files (it will re-run) then examine carefully what it suggests to clean up, generally I clean everything, but if you have a previous installation of windows or if you put you machine on long sleep often you might wanna keep some stuff ... You can also remove restore points. Anyway when you do that you might try to share a screenshot of the result of disk cleanup so that we can guide you through it.

A long/well-established virus won't be detected by an antivirus (no matter how good it is), antiviruses seem to be good at stopping new viruses but seem to be bad at detecting powerfull running ones ... So start task manager when your machine isn't doing anything (close your internet browser), wait for a little time and examine CPU Usage (at the bottom of the window, in the middle) it must be somewhere between 3 (maybe less) and 8 %, if not then you should try to see what's running and using your cpu ....

If you haven't done it, I also advise you to install spybot search&destroy (a free antispyware that works very fine) and look for rootkits. Also install IObit Uninstaller (a free uninstaller program) and examine what is installed on your computer and remove stuff that you really don't know.

You could also use some software to examine the occupied space on your disk (Unfortunately I don't know any for windows).

If only I had your machine under my hands ^^ Anyway don't hesitate to post screenshots.

Hi.

I was reading the solutions, but i cant see tht any one suggest you delete the Temporary files from the Navigator Program like Chrome or Interenet Explorer or Mozilla.

In the three cases you can find in the advanced section the option delete Temporary Files.

I think that this could help.

remember too, check your Program Files in The Control Panel/Programs section.

CCleaner is fine, but if you install it without the advanced way, it installs some anoying stuff that dont help, and in some point the program will ask for the full service program purchase.

I hope this help, i f it helps, you ask for my BTC Wallet for the "tip"  good day.

Try to wipe free space, you can use cmd or use CCleaner. Atleast wipe with 3 passes. Also view hidden folders and delete teporary files. Clear cache and unnecessary shortcuts.
If you suspect A VIRUS, try restoring or format for the best.
Format to linux or other OS and then back to Windows if you know what I mean. Good Luck.

The browser temporary files can also be cleaned using ccleaner (you can clean all your browsers at once). In my opinion, the free version of ccleaner does a very good job (cleaning data/app files, the empty space, registries, cookies (in a smart way), etc.). What kind of annoying stuff does ccleaner install? At each update, u can easily update the free version (and not upgrade to the paid version).
