It all depends on what you call ‘successful’ trade. If you think small profit is success then your ultimate goal will be making profits (no matter small or large). In my opinion, success lies on every stage no matter you make profits or loss. If I am making large profit, small profits, breakeven point, small loss, and large loss everything is success for me as far as I am not under the control of greed because every trade enrich me as a trader and teach something new lesson so when I will be trading after 5 or 10 years, I will have strong experience backed by skills.

As far as your greed is in your control, consider it successful. Don't follow others opinion just for the sake of greed.

Yes trade in altcoin is the best now to earn bitcoin its easy to get profit but you need to be an active trader to see what coins do want to buy because many altcoins now added in different platform so many choices to buy. I do short trade that why i earn bitcoin weekly that is way to get profits to do short trade.

I once demonstrated a trade procedure for a friend who was new in trading bitcoins.  All i did to make the trade successful was to introduce him with localbitcoins traders in our region.  And he said that was cool after successfully trading.

as my knowledge trading in localbitcoin is not common trading, using localbitcoin for trading if we need exchange our bitcoin in to cash or our local currency and is not easy trading in localbitcoin cause we need verify our account and get verify account in localbitcoin is not easy too, i'm only use exchange like bittrex and poloniex and vip (to exchange my bitcoin to my local currencies), but if you want to be successful trader stay to learn and use a couple methode fast or long trade, manage your emotional and always read new news about coin or bitcoin what event can effected the price

I agree you should know the coin, what is its behavior when it comes to price if it is steady or very unstable also you should good in prediction and decision making because thats the time when to sell or to buy because if not then you cant gain any profit with it. Just sell it although low profit. It is profit though it is very low.

If you buy it locally you can pay with cash and you do not need to pay by a bank account.
For some people this is safer and also better for themselves, most of the times the fee's are also better to be honest and its also that its safer, you can really talk with the seller in real life.

You need allot of information to make a correct or succesful trade and that has nothing to do with how many you are trading but you need to make sure there is profit with it because the price is unstable.
