Yep there's no one can tell the future of bitcoin but I'm sure that many are going to stay and going to stick with bitcoin. But as long as there will be an existing bitcoin and the market cap of it is very acceptable. Many investors, traders and other users will be keep on relying on this coin and many new comers are going to had interest on it.

By future proof he mean a future securing currency. Maybe I will not be wrong. That's right until WWIII occur, mass banned among governments worldwide, the unacceptance of bitcoin towards new potential users, and the lost faith of bitcoin users against bitcoin. There's no such thing which could always survive in this world. Everything has its own point where it will eventually be dead. As for now, bitcoin already have some kind of competition with those newly developed altcoins and the competition happen in many sectors, not only the value of coins themselves.

makes sense really , altcoin have advanced technology to solve the fee problem ,
when bitcoin now still struggling to decide about blocks expansion ,
look at dogecoin , it has really really low fee compared to bitcoin ,
