Coinbase still hasn't returned my $10k USD from May 18

Coinbase is such a self righteous scam of a company. They took $10k usd from me that I put in to buy BTC at $455 each and today they are at $555. I have no BTC and no money. All I get is constant excuses as to why I haven't been refunded my money and constant delays. To make matters worse the customer service people are about as rude as you can get. I am surprised it is even legal to do what they are doing to me.

I would contact them by phone and ask to talk to someone higher up if they're not cooperating. A phone call is so much easier than exchanging emails or support tickets and you could usually get your problems resolved.

if it was coinbase. ask them its been 2 weeks has there been a stop payment. (answer no) then give the bitcoins

secondly, usually if a bank transfer takes 3-5 business days there is a small window to cancel that. but that time has passed. which coinbase should then ofcourse honor the bitcoin purchase because the window has definetely passed.

the only thing you can do is possibly look at your bank records and find out which bank coinbase used and contact that bank. find out what they can do.
ask them for some contact details or a customer complaint number and pass that onto coinbase to show them that they need to sort out the issue sooner rather then later

So disgusted. This seems to be recurring issue when prices rise. As they have 7 days to deliver the BTC. If the price rises like it did they just then choose not to honor the sale. If that isn't fraud I don't know what is.

I use it and have had no problems.  One of the best online wallets. 

OP - contact Coinbase rather than here, this is a pretty serious accusation.

Where are you located ? Why not sue them ? If you're very confident that the sources of your income are legit and not black collar stuff like Gambling,hit the nearest cyber crime department.Send their official address a notice.Spreading awareness about how scammy a site is not going to help you refund your $10k.Take an initiative beyond internet.Scenarios like this are giving bitcoin a bad name.

There are clearly some shady shit going on there. That's the reason why so many people are afraid to put their money in online exchanges. Your life saving can just dissappear because thieves and scammers are everywhere.

I am sure they are reading this forum and as far as i know, not an explanation given yet.

Can you share their excuse mails? Anything of importance in their mails other than bullshit?

Feeling bad for your lost, I hope you'll get your money back.. I didn't expected such thing from coinbase,. thank god that I never do any trade with coinbase, I used coinbase only for wallet purpose, but it is very sad to see that a big company of bitcoin turning into scam,, with this incident people will loose again their faith on bitcoin.

correct me if I am wrong....you are advising he should not make this public to maintain bitcoins "good name"? Why should that be his priority?  Is main concern is to get his funds back and how he goes about it is his perogative.

Just remember one thing...  Coinbase is not Bitcoin, they only using Bitcoin to make money and they are actually no different than any other bank or third party fiat exchange. You give your money over

to them and you give them control over you. They call the shots and they make the rules... They also have to adhere to the KYC/AML regulations, which binds you to rules and laws created by the

government. You should never trust ANY of these services with a lot of your wealth... money corrupts people and organizations.
