Has anyone ever lost bitcoins before?

Many people here lost their bitcoin. Most are scam or Lose in gambling. I lost morethan 0.05 in gambling when i was a newbie but now i am regainning it i regain almost 0.02 from my loses

Well fortunately I don't have any experience about losing coins in a general way like steal coins, private keys have been gone or any related.

But if we will divert this to gambling, I already made a loss but only for a little amount since Im not doing it regularly and even I do so only betting for a small amount.

I think I have a bitcoin address with a small amount of bitcoin from faucets on it that I can't seem to find the private key to. It's only a couple of dollars worth at most so I guess it's not a big deal.

and if you look at the profile of the various players you can see how many players get their losses and they still keep playing

I lost some bitcoin I got from some giveaways in 2011. Its was probably $20 then which I was careless and lost. I think it was 4-9 bitcoins in total. You live and learn....

Lose? hahaha i dont think if it lose but it just been scam but those investment site! hahaha i think almost 0.5 bitcoin lose from my wallet  and also in gambling  i always end up in losing my bits

yes I lost  a  not that big  bitcoins because of gambling and investment sites that  turned out to be scammed sites .. but I manage to accept it .. I just think that its just a lesson for me.

yes i have been lost my bitcoin several times by investing at ponzi sites and fake cloud mining sites because i was thought investing on those sites will growing my bitcoin because they offering huge profit but unfortunately i lost my money before get ROI from those sites

gambling is far more worth than a ponzi scheme, by gambling at least we can win with using strategy and knowledge.

when the past I have also ever invest in the site ponzi,because the last 2-3 years there are still many laymen about the Ponzi scheme. but this time the forum has been intensively to tell for not investing in ponzi site. but if they still do, they must bear the risks are great and do not complain.

People are of course making mistakes with Bitcoin and that would be not that bad because you can learn a lot if you are making mistakes because you will do next time better.
But many people are now holding their coins and wait for the right moment to sell it and that is nice

I was newbie at the beginning and didn't know how exactly bitcoin works and i was scammed for $50 (can't remember the exact amount, it was few years before). How i was scammed was that i sent first the money and then expected to get a digital item(CD key) so i tried to chargeback i thought that it was like paypal but once bitcoin are moved they can't get back. Being scammed is a good lesson to secure and protect your money and dealing in a safer way in the future.

Not very much, but I used to be sloppy with saving my older wallet files, which contained some small amounts that I considered dust at the time. Same story as the hard disk discard, but not as bad monetarily. Maybe 0.02 or so.

I am sure that so many people have lost some of there Bitcoin and the main reason people lose there Bitcoins is because they gamble to much it.

I ever lost some bitcoin it was few days ago when i do trading on poloniex. I use all my coin that i deposited on there to buy not popular coin, i bought when the price is low, but unfortunately the price doesn't growing up soon.
Even the price always goes down slowly and I wondered that at the last it down more than a half from the amount that i bought. So it is make me lost my bitcoin gratuitously.

Hey, me! I have lost bitcoins because of my stupidity. I was playing in primedice that time using autobet then suddenly, my account logout and it says in my transaction that I have tipped someone.
