BitcoinTalk is rife with trolls and market manipulators. Really, don't take your trading advice from the forums.

Honestly, it looks like either an individual or a group of individuals with a lot of bitcoin decided to spark a panic sell-off in order to slowly buy back their coins (plus some extra) at a lower rate. This is something that happens from time to time. I expect the price to eventually rebound, though from where I couldn't say.

I put my coins in cold storage to avoid the temptation. I can't sell even if I want to. I won't panic.
