I was looking around Facebook and I saw a Facebook page "HashOcean" (https://www.facebook.com/HashOcean-929110530512750/) that is advertising HashFlare's cloud mining service.

It came to me as a surprise because HashOcean is widely speculated to be a ponzi:

Hashflare appears to be a legitimate service providing cloud mining service:

What is the relation between HashOcean and HashFlare and why is the former promoting the latter's services? Perhaps it is a legitimate links exchange but Hashflare should know better not to associated with HashOcean.

This is really weird. if hashocean promoting hashflare. there could be two reasons of that.
first: hashocean and hashflare are belongs to same peoples/company and hashflare also turn to scam in future,
second: hashflare may paying hashoecean for doing this promotion on facebook and twitter.

but both reasons are very looks shady. I am already against of these cloudmining and now there is something bad happening again.

lets see what will happen.

cause this isn't Hashocean's facebook page , it's for someone who is hoping to get referrals
when you open hashocean website they don't mention any FB page , also when you click on the hash flare link in the FB page you will clearly see that it's an affiliate link

Thanks for that. I was worried that Hashocean is advertising a ponzi.

You guys might be right --- There is a possibility that there are people using the name of HashOcean to promote their own Hashflare ref link. I did not think of this possibility. I'm sorry for being creating the unnecessary mistrust for these services.

Lol you were worried that Hashocean is advertising a ponzi ? Hashocean itself, is the biggest ponzi of bitcoin history yet, just wait another 1 or 2 months and you will never see them online again, of course they will open another scam website and of course people will still follow them. Greed is what destroys a person and these persons seems to never get enough of scamming Smiley

Well that was one good way to earn referrals. Besides, when I checked the page, it really doesn't look like an official page because come on, if you have a service and you want it to grow well, would you have an official page that looks like that? The cover image was the easy giveaway.

Does that facebook page really an official hashocean page? if not whatever you are seeing is just a promotion of the referal link. If it is official than there should be something fishy going on at back.
