It is very possible.

But why would anyone need it?  You can be your own bank. If you want to put your coins in a bank  to gain interest then it is also much unlikely. I dont think any bank would give you an interest. Because btc price is too volatile and the maximum number of coins are limited.

Is it possible that Bitcoin can be deposited in the banks in the near future? I mean like any other currencies that can be deposited and withdraw in the banks.
There are already wallets to deposit and withdraw BTC. Why wait for the future? For example, Coinabse. You can withdraw BTC from your signature campaign to your Coinbase wallet. This is the basic system that you outlined above.

No, not for now. We know bitcoin it's opposite with bank, and I think the bank is not easier to have a good relationship with bitcoin. Some dev on bitcoin It's hate with the bank.

I think bitcoin will not become one with the bank, because we know the bank very closely its relationship with the government. And we know that bitcoin is decentralized, so it is highly impossible. moreover bitcoin conditions that are prohibited in some countries. Thank you

I don't think this will be viable for the banks for one simple reason - the very fluctuating price of Bitcoin will cause a constant loss of money when the value dips so they won't want to risk it with such a highly volatile asset like Bitcoin. It will be pretty much a gamble every single day and I don't think banks would want to deal with volatile digital currencies like Bitcoin. Also it would be very hard to calculate people's account balances in real time as the Bitcoin's price can jump up and down for dozens of dollars every minute or so.

I am not seeing this happening in near future but there are lots of licensed exchanger who accept sepa and swift deposits and withdraw but they have lots of limitation on the amount of bitcoin that can be bought and sell.

Bitcoins wallets are already like the banks for bitcoins. Although wallets dont give interest but they are easy to setup and easy to use without any setup fee or registration costs. So we dont need  physical banks for bitcoins.

it is very possible. if bitcoin has been recognized by the financial institution will be established cooperation like this. This requires a process, because to attract attention in embracing bitcoin bank will be quite difficult. The main factor is price volatility bitcoin. but it all could have happened, bitcoin has a bright future !!

bitcoin wallet is supposed to be the bank for you. and it does everything a bank does with the help of miners.

i believe if there is a bank for bitcoin then it is defeating the main purpose of bitcoin which is decentralization and getting rid of the banks.

I have no problem going through the exchange to sell some Bitcoins and to have it deposited into my bank account.. it's a service built for that purpose. I would like it even better, if I could sell it directly

to the bank, but I doubt most banks wants to hold Bitcoins. I have seen Barclays partnering up with Circle lately, so this might be in the cards for the near future, if this partnership works out. The best

option, would be to move away from all fiat systems and to only deal with Bitcoin directly.  Wink

I think https://haobtc.com is bank of bitcoin, they give us interest if we put bitcoin on their service.
Haobtc is technically not a bank. Their income is generated from a mining farm so it is basically a cloud mining site. A bank on the other hand, uses the interest from the loans to pay their user. A similar service that does this is BTCJam although i wouldn't use them.

I don't think the banks would like to implement Bitcoin in their systems because of the very volatile nature of Bitcoin. Banks prefer to deal in stable currencies unlike Bitcoin which is used more as a store of long term value and less as a digital currency. There are a lot of ways to exchange Bitcoins into fiat and withdraw the funds to bank accounts so at the moment there is no need for banks to offer Bitcoin deposits directly but who knows there might be a time in the future when the demand could be higher and something could be done about that matter.

I doubt it will happen any time soon, but yes some day it will be common place to use cryptocurrency, at that stage there wont be any need for banks, you will have your own swiss bank account in your pocket, according to Obama that is a bad thing...... Roll Eyes

Well BTCJam is obviously not a bank as well.

Apparently, many banks are eye-ing out for integrating bitcoins into them.

Thats not even impodible that we can put bitcoin on our banks in the near future.Bitcoin has the potential to be on the lines of our fiat currency and have it's own physical banking system.Bitcoin network is well developed now so it is slowly going to the line of fiat currencies. So thats posible in future

It is entirely possible for Bitcoin to get banks and other sorts of services in the future, it's just the same sort of natural progression you describe. Someone needs or wants a service, and then someone is bound to create it to satisfy the need, and things like banks are definitely going to appear at some point.

Hopefully we'll be able to avoid the pitfalls of the normal system, but you never know.

I don't see big banks interacting with Bitcoin in any way for awhile to come.
