I think it's all going to happen, but for when it may be a long time, we'll wait until there is a crypto currency that can outperform bitcoin in everything. but for the next 10 years I think bitcoin is still irreplaceable, because the day bitcoin is getting more popular in the world and is increasingly used by people to transact and also invest. And altcoin's popularity is still less than bitcoin, and few people use altcoin to transact and make it a profitable investment asset. So we wait for the emergence of the new crypto currency because it is difficult to beat bitcoin in several factors

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
I don't believe at this point in time it makes any sense to think Bitcoin could be obsolete, even back when the question was posed it didn't make any sense. Bitcoin could become second fiddle to a superior coin, but that also I put at a minuscule chance of under 0.01%.

Yes, bitcoin can be replaced by another cryptocurrency but not now. It will take a lot of time because everything nowadays goes through bitcoin.

Anything could happen, but I do not think it will happen soon, bitcoin is at its peak and it is more popular than any atcoins due to volume and its supporters. I am also a bitcoin enthusiast so my trust and confidence of bitcoin is very high as it could become the global currency in the future.

For the crypto world, of course Bitcoin will always be there. Maybe Bitcoin not be perfect, but it will be always as a benchmark for other Altcoins.

BTC is supplanted as the primary digital money on the grounds that everybody who is new to cryptographic forms of money would consider Bitcoin. For instance, when I was presented, I believed that Bitcoin was the main digital money. (I am clearly off-base). In this way, everybody would utilize Bitcoin instead of different digital currencies. These are my conclusions.

There is always a possibility that bitcoin would be dethroned in the near future. Bitcoin has been dominating for a long time already but there are a lot of cryptocurrencies rising nowadays which shows up as a threat to bitcoin. If we would look at it carefully, we can see that bitcoin's value has been falling down a lot lately causing panic to some investors but let us still hope that it would rise up again soon and dominate still for a longer time.

Bitcoin has already gain popularity therefore it is hard to replace it by new currency, the volume is already big and we are seeing now is the exchanges that accepts bitcoin only.

Being the first mover in the markets, it has many advantages over other cryptocurrencies whatsoever. Of course, it's behind other alts which have better speeds and cheaper fees, but up to date, it's the strongest cryptocurrency in existence. Among many people, Bitcoin is digital gold. It would be nearly impossible for any cryptocurrency to replace it, unless it comes with a better technology which address all the underlying issues within the pioneer cryptocurrency.

Every day, Bitcoin grows in user adoption and acceptance worldwide. Therefore, the more it grows, the harder it will be for any other cryptocurrency to overcome it in terms of market cap and popularity. The closest one to overcoming Bitcoin is Ethereum but it might replace Bitcoin as its supply is limited which gives it inflation over the long term.

Nevertheless, Bitcoin is the original cryptocurrency which has brought us the basis of blockchain technology. Every other cryptocurrency is also based on blockchain technology, so that makes them copies of Bitcoin which can never replace it in the future. Just my opinion Smiley

bitcoin is decreasing but that doesnt mean it can be replaced by some other currencies, you know all of the cryptos have a different characteristics and usage, they maybe different in prices but their usage is what makes them unique and i think that wont make them change or make a competition to each other. bitcoin wont be replaced by other coins even other coins have greater value , bitcoin will still be bitcoin and we will still use it as a mainstream currency in order to do payments and other services such as investing or trading.

It actually does makes sense because we cannot close the door with the (typical) thinking that Bitcoin will always be the king. The reason why there's always an innovation (including the creation of different alternative cryptocurrencies which has evident improvement in their blockchain/network and transaction versus Bitcoin) is for improvement and betterment of the cryptocurrency world. People tend to seek for something better even if what's in here is already great since we are all ambitious that the imperfections of Bitcoin will someday be replaced by something that is better whether it is an improvement or upgrade to BTC, or something new that will defeat the pioneer crypto.

Yes it is possible for bitcoins to be replaced by a new cryptocurrency because there are a lot of coin today that is showing some potential in the market. Ethereum has a chance and minex coin because the platform of this coins is good and if people will focus on investing on this currency then the value of this coin will obviously increase.

Agree, we see the previous data, if during 2017 bitcoin price increase reaches about 1500% but the increase of ethereum reaches more than 3200%, and marketcap ethereum keeps increasing and getting closer to bitcoin.

every thing is possible in this world. may be bitocin replace by another cryopto currency. but I think it is very difficult. my personal view is that bitcoin will merge other crypto currencies because the position of bitcoin is too strong.

The location of Bitcoin is not easily replaced. Bitcoin has established trust in people's hearts. It is not a new Altcoinc that can replace it. It takes more time to prove its technology and potential before it has the opportunity to replace it. .

Bitcoin can either be replaced with another altcoin (such as Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash or Litecoin), or it can be replaced by another technology. And don't think that it is too hard to replace Bitcoin. During the past 2-3 years, the market dominance of Bitcoin has come down from 90% to 42%.

In my end it can say that bitcoin can be replace by another crypto currency. Yes in this day bitcoin is in the top of among of the crypto currencies. But as competitors come out the world of users had been split unto each crypto. What is difficult with the stand of bitcoin is the concept of it were almost been copied by others. And that those others were been so good that the almost all the dead side of bitcoin was been develop in their ends. Well we all know that nothing is permanent in this world that if we are in the top today time may come that we will be in the bottom if we will not continue develop and grow.

I believe that no one can replaced bitcoin. Eventhough many cryptocurrency has been exist with a very firm blockchain, bitcoin will always be the most firm blockchain among the coins.
Bitcoin will be always on the top among the cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin will always exist in some form and will probably be the most dominate cryptocurrency for a long time, atleast in our lifetime. I can see it lose % dominance compared to ALL cryptocurrency but it should be the number one digital asset in the world I believe.
