I'm afraid the miners start to go out of business and BTC price halves in price...it's really something that I've been thinking lately since the ETH hack happened and how it basically survived because of the miners keeping the price up and approving the soft fork.

I think thats why the price is continue going down its because thousands of users holding their thousands of bitcoin in their wallet then the supply and demand was quitely going down too unlike before more users are willing to buy bitcoin because price is not to high.

The bitcoin price right now is halving. How low will it go?
No it's not halving already. I think the price drop is cause by the DAO disaster and temporary close of a big exchanger's site. The halving will happen on the month of july. Don't worry for the price drop it will rise again, if i were you i will just hold my bitcoins and increase it by buying bitcoin now because the price is low and after halving and the price reach your expectations it's the right time to sell your coins and bring home that good profits Grin.

Yes, i also afraid the price of bitcoin continuous go down and back to a normal price before halving. I don't know why the price of bitcoin decreasing now.

Somewhere to 2015 schedule Bitcoin course exactly repeating the typical "investment bubble" - takeoff, the first sale, bear trap, media attention, HYIP, the fall in bull trap, take off again deflation. And then there was a long "reversion to the mean." By the end of 2016 i think it should cost 600 Bitcoin.

I have some more expectations from this year, if price touches to $1k at halving which is unlikely to happen now, then we can expect the price of $800 at the end of the year, everything now depends on the price at halving.

You don't need to wait for the halving day to see the effect on price. The latest rally already incorporates the expectations of the halving. I just talk now of "expectations". The real effect of supply vs demand will show up gradually in the weeks (if not months) after the halving. On that day there will be nothing special I presume.

that's right any change that has to happen because of halving will happen after a while when halving is done. and any other effect that you see like the rise to $780+ that happened was because of the hype and people being afraid of missing out and then dumping because of being afraid of missing out again Smiley

I think the price now around $650 is very normal price after the halving. It reflects the true value of bitcoin.

so pretty much the miners are the ones taking the hit with halving?  Now it takes double the time on average seeing the reward is half for cracking it?

I would assume that the price may drop for a bit but then we need some non mining news or huge rush of new bitcoiners to drive the price back to 1200 once a gain

Until recently the price of a bitcoin was half of what it is now. Miners mining back then with a profit are still profitable with half the reward but a doubled price.

I do not understand why halving is still such a big topic. There were dozens of threads and thousands of post before the halving. People has predicted dumps and pumps after the halving. Nothing such happened. Everything goes on as before the halving.

Yeah nothing has changed even after the halving is done, but the good thing is price didn't drop after the halving as majority of users were predicting that price will fall below $600 after halving.
