i guess blockchain is the most used and they are the best wallet that providing their best security for the members , and i know that there are so many wallet that are being developed but this is the most trusted .
it's the best wallet for a newbie in bitcoin world, it's too easy to learn about this wallet. just simple and not take a long time to learning this. the best wallet ever I saw. I didn't think to move o another wallet.

The blockchain wallet is way better because it has a nice overview also with its dashboard, I think that everyone can use this wallet and that its also petty good secured.
It can be used by expert bitcoin owners but indeed also by newbies.

I also love the blockchain dashboard but I only use it for low amount transaction because controlling a blockchain online wallet is very easy.
I also have a high amount bitcoin and that is safely stored in my paper wallet right now.

By far blockchain.info is my favourite. It's the most complete wallet on the net. Even coinbase's wallet isn't that good. I do hope they will launch a stable version soon though.

The best online wallet avaliable is coinbase.com!
They are a free service, conditionally insure the currency stored there, DDOS protection and they cover the transaction fees.
They are also a fairly trusted site on this forum.

There are also oter online wallets suh as yobit and blockchain.info but these, I feel, are less reliable!

Well I'm amazed that they cover the transaction fees. I've been using blockchain.info for a long time and have processed almost 200 transactions, with their standard fee of 0.0001. So if I had used coinbase.com all this time, I'd have saved 0.02 BTC.

most online wallets are protected from ddos's so that doesn't really matter the only thing that matters is which wallet can send and receive with faster confirmations that is number one priority to make sure transactions get through accordingly and instantaneously.

Yeah, Blockchain.info is the best online wallet I have used, I have been using BC for over 3 years haven't had any problems yet. Smiley

Do you have access or control over your private keys on localbitcoin? I think not, You should consider switching your wallet where you have full access over your wallet.

I would not consider Yobit as an online wallet.
Apart larger transactions need manual approval their service isn't too trustworthy. There is a reason why people are talking bad about yobit.

As a bit of a newbiw... I've been investigating desktop and hot wallets quite a bit the last couple of days.

I initially created a blockchain.info wallet... because a lot of the reviews and comments I saw said that it was good and had a lot of nifty features (owning private keys, signing messages etc)... however, a lot of these nifty features don't exist in the "new" wallet, only the old legacy one... I did not know they had recently upgraded, so it seems like a lot of the more useful features are missing. Sad

I created a Xapo wallet a bit by accident. I was wanting to "test" that my wallets were working etc, and was mucking around with faucets to generate an incoming transaction. One faucet made payments direct to the Xapo... I'm still not 100% sure how this actually works, and how these coins are registered in the blockchain as belonging to me?? As there doesn't seem to be a transaction associated with them??

I have also been looking into Coinbase... haven't tried it out as yet... as I think I will just setup a desktop wallet.

Ran into some of the exchange type services (like YoBit)... but I see the overall consensus is that unless you are moving the money/coin or actively trading, you should NEVER leave your money on an exchange. Sounds like pretty decent advice to me.

And finally, although not exactly about online wallets... I have begun in earnest to look at Desktop wallets as with all these online services either getting hacked or running away with peoples money... I'm getting a little paranoid.

You wanna say that other online wallets like, let's say blockchain.info doesn't have DDOS protection?
Believe me,all of them (the good one's) have, and they use it.
Back to topic,i love blockchain,i have been using it for a long time and i was always satisfied.

They are not a wallet indeed, because if they are counted I guess my bittrex wallet is the most used wallet. Even more then blockchain and coinbase combined.
Simply because I have more funds there.

I can clarify that they have fast transaction speeeds of a few minutes usually!
They also cover the transaction fees, making it a better wallet to use!
They also have insurance on funds stored in their wallets (providing money i not lot through weak credentials)!

Almost everyone is using the blockchain or had a wallet of the blockchain because it was simply just so good in my eyes.
It a good customer service and they are also legit and trusted indeed.

I think its the best and most trusted bitcoin wallet ( website) there is at the moment.

Its the most trusted wallet right now and it it always already was back in the days, it has a great name and is popular.
Another nice thing is that they are having a great website/ always online and you can secure them pretty good.(the wallet itself)

I know there are a lot of wallets available.
This is why I want to know your opinion what is the best online Bitcoin wallet, in level of security, protection of our Bitcoins and availability of support.

Online Wallets are crap, I think!
Usually you can not see your own Private key there...
I use "Bitcoin-Wallet for Android" and the "Bitcoin-Core" on my Desktop.  Wink

The best online wallet stays the blockchain wallet, I do not like online wallets but if I have to choose between them I would go for the blockchain.
They are having 2fa security and that is just very nice and secure.

@neutraLTC,

Does blocktrail include access to the private keys? I have tried blockchain.info, but there new beta wallet does not currently provide the private keys... and there doesn't seem like a way to open an "old" account. I've also read that eventually everyone will be migrated to the new wallet anyway and I haven't seen any indication that they will be providing keys.

I still like the idea of easy access to online wallets, but would prefer the security of possessing the private keys for my wallet.

When using Blocktrail you get a nice PDF backup of your master seed.

What exactly do you want to achieve with having your private keys? We always want to hear a good case for private keys, let us know!

Thanks
