Just a technicality, forks and clones are not the same, forks are what are usually named "Bitcoin something". Clones are usually named "something Coin" .

Fund raising would probably not be a problem, the main concern is: Would there be anyone who is prepared to do it and have the necessary skills to do it properly? Some entity needs to be found and trusted, who's gonna find them and how would they gain the trust of those raising the funds? Having said that, is it really necessary? Tournaments have been held on Lichess before but apparently nobody is interested anymore (for various reasons), I'm not sure if a new Chess website would solve anything ...

Had you read the first post, you would have seen that the ICO was canceled, investors refunded and bounties distributed. And that this coin is POS so no mining or swimming pools ... And all of this happened almost two years ago. You are welcome.

BitcoinChess is a good name and refers to the blockchain technology and our blockchain works fine…
Maybe we will need a lot of decentralized blockchains… get you a static IP adress and stay tune on the Network 24/7

A new development team should build in BitcoinChess was proved to be useful and need not invent anything new 
We'll just keep BitcoinChess running and wait and see what happens

The crowdfunding should start first so that the amount will be known. If there's an amount, specially if it is quiet huge like for example the total market cap of chess coin, developers will surely be attracted.
