Just wondering, would would be the safest way to sell your bitcoins? Is there any platform considered universally "safe" to convert BTC in USD through Paypal, or direct deposit or something? Thank you!

most safe way that i use sometimes, is to sell bitcoins to friend, family member, or anyone else in real life, and this way is pretty easy just it is hard to find person that wants to buy

ans if you want safe way then you really shouldn't try to sell them via paypal as buyer can get their money back after you sent him bitcoins, so this way is pretty risky

Localbitcoins is best TBH. You can go for either cash or get your funds deposited into your bank with this escrow.
Secondly, try bitfinex, they are too good to process withdrawals at times.

Localbitcoins.  P2P for the win.  I only engage in transactions with entities i agree with or support. Circle and coinbase go further than they need to with regulation, i dont give them my business.

You can also try XAPO card, but they have some charges for each withdrawal and some additional charges if you withdraw in a different currency than the original card currency. You can check their website for complete fee details, but the card works quite well so for me and their support also usually reply all my queries within one or two days. So for my experience with them is very good but only feel fee is slightly higher side.

The best way to securely sell is to diversify your sale volume in multiple lower amounts. You can’t be always sure about the trust or reputation of other party and especially in the case of bitcoins where it’s all about anonymity, you won’t be able to trace the person you are dealing with.

So no matter how much one is trusted, you should always deal with care. That also applies even if you are dealing with satoshi (you never met him so you can’t trust anyone named satoshi).

Recently I have found that uquid bitcoin debit card (plastic or virtual) is a good way to sell the bitcoins.

Since you want to link it with paypal I think it should work and make payments through paypal too.

Other way how to sell your bitcoin is selling them locally, buying physical stuff with bitcoin etc.

Maybe localbitcoins or coinbase but some people lately are saying they are having problems with coinbase and their customer service. Possibly try circle to see if they can transfer to USD.

Localbitcoins is having default escrow while the selling the bitcoins. When you selling your bitcoins to your near by people or some one that time please escrow for both parties safety.
I have done selling through localbitcoins only It'd completely safe for me.

Localbitcoins is kind of safe, however you need to remember that the more btc you sell, more you risk.
Just do it slowly, without hurry- if you have 10 btc to sell, even if you are going to get scammed someway- 0.05 or 0.1 won't hurt you so much right?

coinbase/circle if you have a bank account to hook up to them.

localbitcoins otherwise

All of the above ways of selling are safe but the safest way to sell the bitcoins is face to face. In this way there is zero percent chance of fraud etc.

But you can read again about the sentences is writing by op, the universal platform. I don't think they will selling or using the f2f system. Huh the OP needs a trusting universal platform.

For me the sfaest way to sell my bitcoins are those exchanges which sometimes have higher value of bitcoin , like Yobit and Cex.io , but there is a little problem with yobit, like you will sometime wait for days to get your fiat withdrawal, so nowadays I decided to go to Cex.io .

Posting trade advertisement through the localbitcoins.com website is the safest way of selling bitcoins compared to other bitcoin exchange websites.

You just gotta make sure though if you do place the advertisement its under a escrow option which most people know this but I`ll repeat it.

The non escrow options are people doing local transactions that meet up for cash.

As I mentioned before depending on the amount youre selling though.

I will go with the escrow thing. You are minimizing a lot of risk in here. The meet ups are the safest but where will you find one that would willingly exchange, the other problem is, are there someone near you that would do it,?

You can go to Currency Exchange board and look for someone trusted there converting BTC >> Paypal. The exchanging fee sometimes is high though so you might wanna try other stuffs instead. You could look for a friend or even someone in this forum that needs BTC in exchange of their fiat. Meetups is safer than Paypal anyway because once you got the money, there's no way they can revert them.
