little advice

never start any program or wallet as root...if u got infected stuff than hf with getting back ur stuff!
Great advice indeed!

In that specific case (Docker) and use case (automatic build testing and evaluation where package installations are required) it is good the way it is.

For "productive" usage there is always the option to extend the Dockerfile and limit privileges at runtime eg like this:

Code:
docker run -u=1001 --cap-drop=all --interactive --tty --entrypoint=/bin/bash marsmensch/synx

If i have some spare time to play a little more with SYNX, i might create a ready to go Dockerfile / image with persistent storage for that specific use case. Another use case would be masternode installations in "piece of cake" mode ;-)

We will definitely discuss this  Smiley

I'm sorry but that wouldn't be fair to everyone else!

It could be about the wallet, it could not. It could be about an exchange, it could not.

We will all know soon enough Smiley

What a shame.

Whole thread focus on:
a) how to mine
B) how to sell

Not a single question on the features of the coin
a) How will the integration of management system will work? Where is the white paper?
B) What is the real world use case for having a cryptocurrency wallet with a database of inventory, sales, & expenses? Will there be some on-blockchain integration of these data and how will it be achieved.
C) Why is Dev hiding his real identity? How many coins launched by same dev in past? How many died after first few months?

I don't even feel sympathetic to the buyers. They are just plain stupid and greedy looking for a greater fool. And Don't count on Bittrex to add such a scam coin. Bittrex have recently raised their standards don't see this coin making it. C-Cex and yobit if the dev is lucky to sell his instamined dump on noobs.

LOL the fact that you claim to not understand why / how having a wallet with a database of inventory, sales, & expenses could be adopted into the real world only shows how much of a troll you are.

I would be upset also if I missed getting in early on something someone cared about, but hey it happens.

truly shocking that a coin distributed through mining and staking would have questions about how to mine and stake it

I am curious as to how the inventory system is conceived as well though: how are companies kept separate, how are their records kept secret from each other, what usefulness is the token to the whole thing, etc.

How are companies & records kept seperate? Are you suggesting that they're kept in the blockchain? They're not. I have not ever, not even a single time, said anything or even phrased anything in a way to mislead anyone into believing any of those private documents are developed or stored in the blockchain. Doing so would make everything about the inner workings of your business 100% transparent, which isn't always a good thing.

Your competing business that's three stores down & across the street doesn't need to know the exact quantities of the inventory you purchase. They shouldn't be able to see the exact cost of everything you purchase, know your sources & secrets. They don't 100% of the information needed to calculate how much of certain things you buy at certain times of the year, during certain trends, during certain public or celebrity influences & certain public events. In addition to many other things, you would be essentially giving them all of the tools necessary to monetize on all the trends & strategies your storefront took the time to develop since its conception. Not to say business' don't try to undercut each other already, but we shouldn't give them everything needed to multiply it 100x.

Burglers also don't to now the exact quantities of what you purchase, & when you purchase them. They don't need all of the information needed to develop a map over the year illustrating how much of which inventory every store in the city is has in stock. Why should they be able to wait & see which store will stock the most of the most expensive inventory on any given day? Christmas is coming up & now they have a detailed map to find the easiest target with the most expensive inventory of electronics waiting to be sold. They can now single out stores that have more of a particular thing they like, their crime boss likes, or even for the buyers that want the stolen property.

Another major one that might not be good out in the open of everyone, salaries. That could pose as problem if you ask me, every employee doesn't need to see exactly how much their peers are making. We don't need confrontations at work. Not everyone needs to see your work schedule. If you don't work a consistent schedule, ill minded individuals now have the opportunity to know exactly when you will & wont be home. All emergency, tax & medical information should not go any further than it needs to.

All final releases of the modular release schedule will use encrypted, local databases that will be created by the wallet per installation to minimize the chances of misuse by any other party.

There are currently many places which accept Bitcoin & various other alt coins as forms of payment, why not couple them with tools that would make more than the average user and enthusiast want to install the wallet & and spread the use of decentralized banking?

I do eventually have some time tonight and will start to work on an initial version, feel free to throw some feature wishes at me now.

Obviously, the main target for a MN container image would be a semi-automatic setup of multiple masternodes.

I figure it could work like this:
* collect masternode addresses and keys in a file, we could make use of the masternode.conf initially
* build a Docker image containing the latest stable Syndicatd that can be dynamically configured (Masternode Private Key, Bind address IPv4/IPv6/Tor)
* Write a script that generates the individual docker run commands (or generate a docker-compose file to start them all)
[* optionally create the MNs with docker-machine, e.g. with the Vultr or DigitalOcean plugin for docker-machine]

Just some thoughts, still early here ;-)

Hello Everyone!

Here's a quick sneak-peek of whats to come!

The wallet will automatically create the first employee template, which should be edited & registered with the manager or owner of the business.

The wallet is going to create employee ID 001 along with the default username & password of "Admin" to allow the first user to login. It is 100% mandatory that the default values be changed.

Closer to release, I will write the whitepaper outlining all of the details & features. The whitepapers will be released in stages alongside their features.
