Almost every altcoin/token will suffer every time bitcoin makes a run, to counter this the dev must  have something new to offer and be active on social channel assuring that they are still in the project.

Yes I agree ,  Stratis needs a bit more visibility. Its getting hit hard by the market , I watch cloakcoin and its going up when BTC goes up ( so there are ALTS which rise with BTC), but I cant understand why Stratis gets hit so hard by the market.  Even Siacoin is going up.  Stratis  is a platform coin and should be climbing  up the ranks , irrespective of whether  BTC climbs or not and id expect  Stratis to  be at least $5.00 by now.
  If Stratis  does what they mentioned will be accomplished by the end of the year there has to be some growth. I see a $200 token here but we need some working products out there. I can build something with NEO, ETH etc,  but there's nothing that can be built currently using Stratis. I'm hoping this changes  before the years end.

You are partly right, current market is bitcoin bullish market, it`s hard to make a profit from your altcoin investments.
But i believe the main pump from the whales can be scheduled on spring 2018 or summer. A lot of investors bought Stratis coins on top, it may be difficult to make a profit in middle term. Anyway, i would not sell all stratis coins, maybe part of them.

the alt pump will probably happen early 2018 after bitcoin has breached the 10K gap. Right now the whales know the market is indeed bullish on bitcoin, and they make their best profits by adding fuel to that. What can be expected is that they're testing the market, they're pushing the market up by manipulation, until the market simply doesn't want to move up anymore (probably around 10K). That's when they'll pull out billions

How did you come up with the 2018 timeline? Any reason to expect Bitcoin to stabilize around then? There seem to be a lot of catalysts like the CME announcement going on for Bitcoin.

Oh, WOW that's heavy! I just realized how heavily STRAT was dumped down to $3.35...  I'm so glad I sold all my Strat at about $9.5.

I could basically triple my stash right now.

Dev is working on that issue hopefully this will get fixed soon and they will make announcement for this. Have patience maybe your are getting due to recent drop of price but after the release of Breeze mainnet it will get recover.

that's such a good timing. you must be thinking of whether when stratis will really go up after that massive dump. i would have done the same if i have just invested stratis during that time. currently hold some of it for i know it will rise up again in time.

This is definitely the second accumulation phase.
I have seen the price stratis for 1 month, I see this is the right time to buy it and sell it next year, although the price down until now, but stratis still have good potential for long term.
