Why does this coin always dump SOOO much harder than other coins when BTC is going up or down... most other alts maintained their value in satoshi or have since gained slightly (only the coins that saw significant 400-500% growth recently are down in sats like XLM, ADA, TRX etc). Stratis see's moderate, organic growth, but then dumps the hardest out of most alts Sad add to that the ICO launch coming up in a few weeks I'm not sure why we're not at 200k+ yet.

Weak marketing perhaps? Also, I have to remind you that we have maintained a steady rate of growth.

You see a lot of coins making massive gains, but they come crashing down during the correction..

Before this correction, STRAT was 16-17, and now it is 17+ (in USD terms) while other coins went down.

Just wait... and if you think you can play the money then buy back in, you can do that too!

IMHO, Only one exchange and one direction STRAT/BTC - 50% of the volume. Easy to manipulate

I hate it whenever the STRAT price goes up...

because then the stupid daytarders drive it right back down to the ground. It's so stupid. STRAT is good, but it can never seem to get any momentum going.

Right now the price is pumping at just under $20. I bet it will be $17 or $16 in a little while... just speaking from my disappointing experience.

This coin is great, but so far has been the unluckiest coin ever in the top 30, because it deserves top 20 easily, but can never catch any momentum or break the day-traders' hold...

Stratis is going in the right direction. it's maybe a bit scary  but it's in the right direction.Use buy and  sell to maximize profits.

if you're looking on day charts, yes Strat is not good.
but if you're looking where it was 2 months ago, you will see that strat is on the right path.

Yeah i know, that we all want to have a big increase, but is ok also like that....

instead having +50% in one day and -55% next , is better to have 3-5% week on "+".
In long time it will mean something.

so if you are thinking to buy it today with 17 and sell tomorrow with 30, is not your coin...try elsewhere

so what if other coins have big increases? Who cares? I not. You need to see further than 1-2 months...you need to understand product behind the coin, and once that everything is set up.....
is only one way.... UP UP UP

It should already be $30, and staying solid there. Right now the day traders who are flinging the price around are hurting the coin badly.

We have done pretty well over the last 2 months, but when you see coins like DOGE going up and up, it just doesn't make sense.

Well, it does, because of the daytarders. But seriously, we just need one good break to get this coin to its REAL value. And we don't need to see a major correction after that.

Basically, we need to see a correction upwards.

Are you ready? Millions of FREE Zeepin tokens are now available for you to take away! this ICO of NEO will be happening from 18 january to 29 january join now. https://www.zeepin.io/bounty/?r=MngW6
Just don't promote your coin overhere. It has nothing to do with Stratis, so get the hell out of here with your coin.
We are here for Stratis ( the best COIN for 2018) and we are not interested in a useless coin as Zeepin.

I'm curious when people come back with news from the internet. Next week is the half January, and then you would think that it is almost that time !!!!!!!, then we fly again to the 23 Dollar.

I think that we have got a new support lvl around 130k Satoshi and I am very glad that we have this good and steady growth that means there is still a space for some hype like that one last year. If we can go from 50k to 130k in a month it is quite possible that we are gonna see new ATH(Satoshi) very soon. I think that we can see a similar race like Qtum had after they announced a partnership. So base is settled and we can go to the moon  Smiley

We need a pump up to the real value of STRAT, which is easily $30.

STRAT used to be top 10.. when can we reclaim that spot?

A lot of coins have been in and out of the top-10. Realistically, not all of them can regain those spots. Stratis is still doing well where it is at, even if outside the top-10.

I have made the following two files to help speed up syncing of the blockchain for people that need to sync from scratch with the stratis-qt or stratisd wallets. The files work on both Windows and Linux.

1. Link to bootstrap.dat @ snapshot block 676877
2. Link to blkfiles @ snapshot block 676877

Instructions:

Option1 - bootstrap.dat
This option syncs the blockchain from the offline bootstrap.dat file and takes a few hours but much less time than syncing from the Internet.

1. Download the bootstrap.zip and place it inside your C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Stratis folder. On Linux put it inside your ~/.stratis folder.
2. Unzip the file so that the bootstrap.dat file is in this folder. If you do not know how to unzip on Linux you can install zip with the command "sudo apt-get install unzip"
3. Run your wallet with either stratis-qt or stratisd depending on the type of wallet you use or the operating system you use.
4. The wallet will start importing blocks from the offline bootstrap.dat instead of the Internet and will take a few hours to import the blockchain. Once imported the wallet renames the bootstrap.dat to bootstrap.dat.old and the file can be deleted if you need space. The wallet will be synced up to the snapshot block above.
5. If you are syncing from scratch on Linux using stratisd, you need to first create a stratis.conf file that you place in the same folder.

Option2 - blkfiles
This option is if you are in a hurry. The wallet is instantly synced up to date to the snapshot block above.

1. Download the blkfiles.zip and place it inside your C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Stratis folder. On Linux put it inside your ~/.stratis folder.
2. Unzip the file so that the blk0001.dat file and txleveldb folder are in this folder. If you do not know how to unzip on Linux you can install zip with the command "sudo apt-get install unzip"
3. Run your wallet with either stratis-qt or stratisd depending on the type of wallet you use or the operating system you use.
4. The wallet will be instantly synced to the above snapshot block. As soon as it starts to find peers it will continue syncing to the current block. You can then delete the blkfiles.zip file if you need space.
5. If you are syncing from scratch on Linux using stratisd, you need to first create a stratis.conf file that you place in the same folder.
