I'm going against what everybody else has said: design is important. Honestly, with all these faucets nowadays with popup, malware, and whachama-call-its ads, I'm incredibly judgmental in the first couple of seconds that I visit a faucet. If it looks like a three year old threw it together, I'm out. (Although I've never really been into faucets in the first place.)
Buy a template, if you don't know how to code one! If you're using FaucetBOX, the default CSS framework is Bootstrap, which is incredibly easy to customize. Send me a PM if you're stuck, and I'll help you out.
Good luck!
You are right about popup, malware etc, but we are talking about templates, and malware and popup don't have anything to do with that. There are lots of great faucets with terrible design, and I just don't care about it as long they are paying, and that is most important thing.
