Another Cryptocurrency Overtaking Bitcoin's Price..

I was wondering if there's a chance of a new cryptocurrency be overtaking bitcoin's price. I would like to ask if it's possible since most of the other cryptocurrency's price depends of bitcoin's price.

Overtaking no it is way too far for any crypto to take place of bitcoin and making bitcoin traded based on that alt. Bitcoin is the first currency in which all alt is compared and if that alt get steady volume in trading few exchanger like to make price stable adding fiat market for that alt just like ltc and recently ethereum.

There might be one of these days. There are coins useful enough today like DAOs and ETH.

Do you guys ever heard about 42coin? when cryptsy still alive the coin's price is above bitcoin

It really hard for any currency to take the place of bitcoin, because there is reason that
1. It will be very hard that people will use that currency as people use bitcoin, do you know about STR, They have a nice giveaway and people exchanged those all str to BTC, because people now start thinking that bitcoin is one of the stable and will not become dead anyway.

2. Biggest companies are accepting BTC, and its hard that those all companies will start using the same currency.

I thought your post is a coin overtaking bitcoin but you are just asking us what coin would likely overtake bitcoin price..The answer is none yet at this point of time not even in two years,for a coin to overtake Bitcoin they should at least had a good feature than Bitcoin with awesome community..

I thought your post is a coin overtaking bitcoin but you are just asking us what coin would likely overtake bitcoin price..The answer is none yet at this point of time not even in two years,for a coin to overtake Bitcoin they should at least had a good feature than Bitcoin with awesome community..

And that will be another start from a scratch. Another hike up then another fall. And people will think that it is another bitcoin like to not trust and to not invest. Something to do with bad things again. Pftt. Why change bitcoin if we can just help upgrade it.

the possibility is very low as you mention that most of or all alt defends to btc price so it is hard to say that they can overtake the price but if whale comes one day and pump the alt we can't never tell if that will happen but it is possible, so my point is btc is already established and it is hard to put it down but it is always the investors/whales who can control the price.
