It's not a disease, gamblers know what they are doing, only that they have risk and staked something in gambling that is why they can't just let it go as easy as that.... With that in mind, you are always in the chase of your loses... Winning isn't actually the one that keeps you sticking to the game, since you only will feel it the first times you bet, and in the long run it is your losses that bothers you...

i think you are right with gambling word " disease " . because every person who is small little greedy is looking for gamble btc . since many of them ( like me ) lost there btc fir gambling and return with only loss .
i think there is no way to quit gambling also .

Gambling can be cured but it's need to come from the gambler, its like curing an alcohol addiction, you need to stay away from environment that can trigger the gambling act, and friends and family support is the most important they can help you to avoid things that make you think of gambling

gamblers always try t play gambling games,

because it is where they ca get fun, be thrilled, be excited, be challenged and more,
and also some are always coming back to play because they are thinking that they will win,

There are people on the Internet that are buying expensive useless things just because they want to, do you have a problem with that as well? There are at least two options for viewing those cases. Yes, gamblers and shopaholics are almost the same, gamblers are addicted to gambling and shopaholics are addicted to shopping, so we can see no problem when someone is buying things he/she doesn't really need or when someone is gambling away his/her own money. But in reality such people cause troubles to their families. So IMO shopagolism also known as Compulsive buying disorder (CBD) and gambling are dangerous diseases.

I think it's not a disease, it's more like a disorder, in short, it's all in the mind just the above me forumite mention... Like maniacs, they know what they are doing, only that they give in to it. The worst part of gambling is only the addiction, that makes your losing of money fast, and the only way to prevent too much losing is to stay away from gambling.

That is the best way if he / she cant really control playing gambling then that is the time . But as long as he/she can control it then you should try to counsel him/her so that he/she will not do it again

most people are gambling because of the enjoyment of gambling as a game and as they call it, gambling is a fun thing to do. but there is also another group of people who think gambling is a way to get rich without any effort and they actually think if they put a bigger bet down they will win bigger too. and you can actually see the topic about it here called "if you want to win you have to make bigger bets" and this case is the sickness you are looking for and you always have to stay away from it.

Yes, addiction must be the disease you do get due to gambling. This is not just affecting the gambler, but it will severely make the gambler's family also to suffer. Gambling becomes a disease for most of us because we want to get as much btc as possible in the easiest possible way. After very little time spent thinking we go to gambling as the best resource which can offer us such an opportunity (imagine winning a 13 game sport parlay with odd 2 each game) and our brain starts to think yes it can be done.

In most of the time though this ends up in a different way, in a way that we lose all of our btc and that's where we become ill of gambling. We want to get our btc back and we go deeper and deeper in darkness and that is exactly when we need help to overcome such problem.

is not the same as drug addiction, or any form of addiction.

I think the gambling is not a disease. People will addict this gambling because of easy money. Once they start to lose their money they will control themselves so finally the end with zero balance in their wallet. This type of people will call Gambling is Disease. Imo it is not a disease. It is just your brain releasing dopamine as soon as you think about gambling, giving you a feeling of satisfaction.

If it was a disease, than alcohol and sigartes would also be a disease. Rather than a disease, it is better to call it by its name and and accapt that you suffer from it: Addiction. Accepting that you are addicted is bringing you one step closer to being able to beat the addiction.
