Hey,

I have a question,

How will be working your card,
If I have 1BTC on balance and want to buy coffee ( so what will happen then) or BTC on the card will auto-convert to FIAT (when I pay)?
Or I need to convert manual BTC to FIAT , only then I can buy coffee?
Thanks

Hi Impress,

Users sell their crypto manually on our decentralised exchange, the PlutusDEX, and then spend their converted balance anywhere a Visa Debit Card is accepted.

The decentralised nature of our product ensures you are always in control of your own private keys and, therefore, your funds!

You can read more on how the buying and selling of crypto works here.

Just to note: BTC support is planned for 2020. Right now, you can sell ETH and PLU securely and instantly on the DEX.

Maintenance Alert

We're upgrading some things on our back end this weekend so you may encounter some problems logging in, these will likely be intermittent and should all be resolved come Monday.

After the upgrade is complete, some users may be unable to log in entirely. If this is the case, you simply need to use the 'forgot password' feature and reset your password.

For those who have 2FA setup, they'll need to delete the old one and after logging in (on Monday), they'll be able to setup the new one.

This seems to be a very interesting project. I saw the thread a very long time ago, probably made a couple of posts but have just rediscovered it and am making this post. There seems to be a case for this project having lots of potential going by what I read online after a brief look around but there are some facts that highlight it might not have a future as bright as hoped:

- The 2016 ICO raised $4 million but the market capital today is just $870,000: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/pluton/

- The market capital peaked at over $26 million in January 2018

- The current price per PLU is around $1 but in January 2018 it peaked at over $31

- Just 850,000 PLU are in circulation but there are 20 million locked?

- The previous 24 hour volume was just: $23.98 USD

- In the over 3 years and 7 months since the ICO ended the company offer only ETH or PLU to buy/sell before it can be used to spend on the debit card?- The

Have I got this right, please could somebody check and confirm the above?

All in all though would you conclude that this is a successful project so far given the time between the ICO ending to where they are now (over 3 years and 6 months)?

I will have a go at it  Shocked

This seems to be a very interesting project. I saw the thread a very long time ago, probably made a couple of posts but have just rediscovered it and am making this post. - The 2016 ICO raised $4 million but the market capital today is just $870,000: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/pluton/

Given the state of most altcoin projects, your metrics seem positive instead of negative.

Quote
- The market capital peaked at over $26 million in January 2018

You'e point being?

Quote
- The current price per PLU is around $1 but in January 2018 it peaked at over $31

Your point being?

Quote
- Just 850,000 PLU are in circulation but there are 20 million locked?

The tokens locked up will gradually become available. Like in the course of the next 100 yrs, not within 1 or 5 years. See page 6 and further of the Whitepaper: https://plutus.it/public/white-paper.pdf

Quote

Yep, liquidity is still a concern. But Plutus has a working card and if the 3% PLU rebate gets going (latest word is Q1 2020), there will be an incentive to use the card for (fiat) payments (because of the 3% rebate payable in PLU). Hopefully, this increases trading activity at the DEX. Still the Achilles heel of the project IMHO.

Quote

Apparently that was hard enough. More options are expected in time (including BTC).

Have I got this right, please could somebody check and confirm the above?

I think your facts are mostly right. The question is what you conclude from all of this.

Quote
All in all though would you conclude that this is a successful project so far given the time between the ICO ending to where they are now (over 3 years and 6 months)?

With the rather limited ICO funds and the state of the crypto markets, I am impressed with the status right now. You can get a card (in most EU countries) right now. I cannot get a card at TenX and Crypto.com at the moment; release date of cards in the EU is still unknown.

So on that point, Plutus has an actual product out there (again, in the EU).

If rebate of PLU starts, I will definitely try it out (card already requested).

Hey guys,

It's worth noting that the crowdsale back in 2016 raised $1m, not $4m.

With the current state of the market, there are very few altcoins/tokens which have not suffered in terms of value.

The difference here being that PLU is on track to becoming the worlds first decentralised loyalty token, & with plenty of exciting partnerships in the works we have additional utility to follow.

You can read more in our CEO's end of year report here.

-----
In the over 3 years and 7 months since the ICO ended the company offer only ETH or PLU to buy/sell before it can be used to spend on the debit card?

We need to remember that this is not the first iteration of our project. Plutus 1.0 allowed users to buy & sell both ETH, PLU, and BTC. However, the customer experience was lacking and it was not user friendly.
That's why the team went back to the drawing board to improve our project based on customer feedback and have now developed an incredibly user friendly application in which users can sell their ETH & PLU instantly and spend anywhere VISA is accepted with their Plutus Debit Card.

BTC support is planned for this year, as well as our PLU emissions and our reward system of which PLU will play an integral part.

Please do take a look at Danial's report which I've linked above, he discussed the value of PLU.

Even better than that - go ahead and sign up to our services and give them a test drive. Whilst we're in our early bird phase, card orders are entirely free.

Absolutely! How many project have came after us and are now dead in the water? Countless.

Let's take a look at total funding vs product:

Plutus = $1m
Revolut = $336m
Starling Bank = $344m
Monzo = $425m
Coinbase = $545m

The team have developed an awesome product and, despite push backs which were often out of our control, we continue to deliver & improve our product on a rolling basis.

There's a lot to be excited about - 2020 is the year we continue to #BUIDL

Read our most recent mention in Hackernoon which says, “Most banks are unable to provide the same functionalities offered by Plutus which is why their CEO, Danial Daychopan, often claims to be ‘better than a bank’.”

Tutorials - How to use our PlutusDEX

For those who are yet to use our services, we have created two videos that will help guide you through the PlutusDEX buy and sell process.

How-to: Buy Cryptocurrency
We have made the buy process as easy as possible so newcomers can quickly access cryptocurrencies. In just a few clicks you can receive cryptocurrency into your own personal wallet. Check out our tutorial here.

How-to: Sell Cryptocurrency
Whilst DEX's are known for their high levels of security, they are often perceived as less convenient. We have tackled these perceptions head-on by creating an incredibly user-friendly DEX that auto-fills the receivers details (gas price, wallet address, etc.), meaning you can sell cryptocurrency securely in just a few clicks. Check it out here.

What would you say is the biggest or most important thing to look out from Plutus in 2020? Any sort of news or innovation that will make it more known and make it being used on a bigger scale?

Right now how many users does Plutus have? How many cards have already been sent out?

Right now how many users does Plutus have? How many cards have already been sent out?

Let's take a look at what 2020 has to offer:

- Improved cards

- Marketing campaigns

- Apple Pay & Google Pay

- Trading on mobile

- 3% PLU rewards

- Premium services

- Additional PLU utility (super excited about this one myself! We've got some incredible partnerships lined up to help us deliver this)

- BTC trading

- Continual platform improvements

--
I think the most exciting parts of this are the implementation of the PLU reward system, and the amazing partnerships we've got in the pipework right now. Super excited to share that with everyone!

The Plutus user base is growing every day, and we've yet to begin our marketing campaign yet. We're preparing for a rapid expansion of our user base when this is implemented early this year.

It's worth noting that Plutus is delivering something which has yet to be done. A truly decentralised reward token, PLU, which will play a major part in a lucrative rewards system.

How long did it take for you to receive the card from the point of applying to the point of you holding it?
