if we talk about the the store btc at exchange site then the main fear arise in the mind is bitfinex where many persins had lost there btc but i think in my openion , i will say we should keep that amount of btc at exchange site which is more for daily profit . in this way there will be less chance to loss all of our btc .

I think there is no exchange sites are completely safe because they might have an evil purpose. bitfinex might have been planning this from the beginning. they are looking for and nurture the trust after they have trust and they get a lot of users. of course there will be plenty in the wallet main bitcoin. then they will steal it. be careful with third party dude |

I send bitcoin to exchanger when the price was up or when I need some money for my daily necessity only. I never leave my bitcoin for longer time at any exchanger. I am affraid cause exchanger looks easier to hack by someone outthere! |

I dont know why i should not keep my coins in exchanger if i am carefully then i think that nobody cant stole my money from my wallet so i keep my money in exchanger really long time and it is still there in exchanger.
well i guess you didnt learn about the bitfinex hack, it should be never done because no one knows what might happen That's why i never keep my bitcoins on exchanger, it's really risky because they can take your coins or a hacker hack that exchanger sites like happened to bitfinex. I think the store in exchange bitcoin is not a problem. as long as you keep in your bitcoin exchange site that is reliable. or maybe you could put it in the local exchange. where you know the complete address of the owner of the exchange sites |

Many people like myself use the exchanges for small amounts. I never have more than $100 dollars on any exchange. They are convenient in many cases for my trading. That being said I also have to agree with you. People need to know that they should be prepared to lose their coin if they keep it ALL or even small part on an exchange. |

even there is some people used an exchange as their online wallet lol , we should never trust any wallet that involved with third party , as bitcoin wallet is private , you should not tell and held your private key to anyone , by storing bitcoin in third party like an exchange and other online wallet which you did not hold the private key , you are just giving away your bitcoin. |

I did not keep my bitcoin in exchange. I just do transactions at the exchange when I needed money or when I want to convert it to a fiat? but I also keep bitcoin in exchange but make sure you do not save too much in exchange bitcoin it |

I had lost my private see keys, not the key to acess and the wallet had some balance inside, i got pissed to had lost those. I do trust poloniex in fact they have now 80% from the bitcoins i own, but im happy with them and i dont believe they will scam or let any hacket take the business down. |

Surely you will never want to keep all your coins in one place. If someone gets access to you wallet, unfortunately you may have funds taken from you. The wise thing to do is to keep it in different locations, taking all necessary security measures.

I know about that, before thinking continuously about someone can get access into my wallet, just think about moving my funds into my offline wallet is really make me confused because it's too long. but keep or not my funds if wallet i think that is not problem if i have my private keys. |

yes, we all trust bittrex and polo and also we have all trusted bitfinex, cryptsy and also mtgoxx but now look what happened to all those exchanges. it is not a matter of trust you see. Not a matter of trust.Matter of stupidity for day traders to keep their coins in an exchange's wallet.No exchange asks you to do that either.It's the irony,all the exchange attacks are always inside jobs.I wonder if this is decided within the four walls.Only way we can fight back is by awareness. |

Exactly. If you are a bitcoin holder, hold them in your core wallet installed in your own pc. That's the best option. If that's too heavy for your system, use electrum. If you don't trust electrum, use paper wallet. Exchanges come and go. You never know which one will be goxed next.
Now Gox is a verb.  They are all saying to keep it in a core. But there are a lot of small bitcoin users who dont know that and still using bitcoin wallet exchange sites. Those are the people that should be reached out to tell them "use this it is better and safer". Those exchanges will be having a problem on scamming people with just a little in their pockets. |
