Time 2 prepare FRexit ;-)
If there is a FRexit (which i really doubt) there will not be a European Union at all. It would make no sense in a geographical and political aspect. But France has too many interest in terms of economy to really go out. What do you think about Spain & Italy ? Because Italy deserves to exit from the EU and also Spain imho. Spain probably benefited a lot from EU, so it wouldn't be fair to exit now. Italy is a more complex case (the north is quite rich, but the South is very poor, so I don't know if EU has benefited to them or if they had to pay for poorer countries) and I don't know much about it. But both are less important than France in EU. Every one should be able to exit the EU if they vote for it. The problem is that many times the population is blinded by the actual problems and doesn't see the huge benefits they got over the years. Yes, I think that Spain will not leave the EU zone. As I know Italy wants to exit but due the 'technical' internal politics problems they are focused to other things. The exit from the EU zone is a long term view, most probable 5-10 years to be more strong.

Congratulations Brittain! I wish we (the Netherlands) would get a chance to at least vote whether we want to be in the EU or not. Dutchies all know the result of this vote, which is why politicians don't let us choose. Unfortunately.
You're not alone in this condition. We what to say in Eastern Europe? 20-25 years ago, your politicians, especially some overseas , came and bought our politicians. Our economy was destroyed by them together, to be revealed markets for your economies. Our politicians were took good commissions against this and got the right "to fight corruption." And now, you are angry that people with passports from our countries, but not from our ethnic groups, flooding your countries. In fact, before changes occur in our countries, these same people had been integrated largely and they worked, and doesn't drained of social systems. In our countries, as well as in your countries all happened without nobody to ask the people.

Wow! 17 million vs 16 million? That means a lot of people there still want to be in the EU. Personally I don't understand what's the point of Brexit, and now I see that a lot of people in the GB don't understand it either.

Brits should not suffer from this decision, 5-10 years and they will be safe.

That's very bad for them. They'll get what they merited. I can predict that they will go throught choas times ! If the United Kingdom left, well, that will be good for France, because its preponderant role will be reinforced.

The ugly truth is that the 17 millions are mainly old fags. Everyone above 55 years old voted out and everyone under 40 voted remain... That's the real sad thing here ><

The British economy is more powerful than that of Germany and France combined. That is why all the Eastern Europeans are flocking to the United Kingdom. Germany is only able to attract low quality Turkish and Arab immigrants, and France is full of Sub Saharan African immigrants. The German and the French economies are going to suffer.

The losers won. I wish them to be happy in their small, foggy and rainy island. Every nice British guy I've ever met made the only good decision available: to leave Britain. I guess that soon, there will be only faggots and drunkards in the UK. Or has it happened, already?

There seems to be so little understand about why the EU was created, how it has evolved, and why it was so important for us to get out. In fact, it is important for the stabilityof Europe for the Union to be dissolved, interest rates to rise to 2%, and for the insovent banks to take their punishment without the bail-in theft option.
I might put together a site with my views on the recent victory for Britain and Europe.

I'm surprised and delighted by the vote.
I'm also amused by the way the Scott independence vote seems to have had what I am sure to many are an unanticipated negative consequence of separating that jurisdiction from the EU.
I would suggest to those of England to do a 'means test' of all immigrants which landed on their shores via dictates from Brussels. Those who have had a net negative economic impact (e.g., feeding on the welfare state with no noticeable trajectory toward or observable interest in weening themselves) could be relocated North. Once that is accomplished a the Scots could have again the option of splitting from England and re-joining the EU with every hope that they would jump on the chance.

The Scots nationalists have gamed it TVB. I don't think I have seen such cynical political posturing in my lifetime. To use the Leave result as a legitimation for another Scottish independance referendum when the last one is less than 2 years behind us, is absolutely staggering. Bearing in mind that the last Scottish Independance referendum was meant to be a once in a lifetime decision. I find it all a little more than undignified TBH

The irony here is that, relatively speaking, the UK did alright out of the EU (immigration aside). Whereas the Greeks, Spain, Cyprus, Ireland et al have, to a greater or lesser degree, been shafted by their membership. Yet we are out and they are in. Definite domino effect highly likely. Lets wait and see. My tuppeneth - today marks the end of the European Union - just a matter of time now.
