If i have to invest 300 usd. Which alt coins would you suggest ?

I never suggest long term investment in any of the altcoins especially the new ones. so always try to invest in short term and get out as fast as possible. because most of these coins have a short glory time and will dies after the dump until next pump comes.

if you want to invest money $$ then invest in bitcoin and buy it, that is the better option.

I would suggest to wait for a good ICO coin for now its not good to invest on any altcoin with all the hacking and crappy launch that has been happening right now, bitcoin is always open and litecoin too.

Eth is a good competitor to bitcoin but i think it will not reach at least half of the price of bitcoin because it's price is only depending on demand and supply if many traders will continue to buy ETH it will result for another price increase but as of now because of the past hacked news it will be hard for ETH to gain more buyers IMO .

I would suggest Litecoin. It's pretty stable and it is going to go higher with the price. It is not a dump coin so it would be a good investment.
Maybe try Dogecoin or Dash but I am not sure should you invest in them. Doge will probably keep being low all the time. Go with LiteCoin is my recommendation.

Op, you want to invest in altcoin just because you believe that you can buy 'more' coins with your $300.
And if you are lucky these coins l will reach higher price and follow path similar to bitcoin (from $1 to $1000).
But with current number of altcoin (over 600 and and 67 of them have market cap over 1 million USD).
I would still pick Bitcoin as my investment method, altcoins are even more unpredictable, especially long term forecast is almost impossible.

honestly holding altcoins for your long term is very risky because altcoins prices are unpredictable because if you holding the particular altcoins until 2020 i'm afraid it would be dust coins and my advice for you just only buying bitcoin for your long term investment and for short trade try to trade ETH or LISK coin because several people says it is still profitable to trade those coins

I prefer invest on bitcoin, because the halving is so close and i'm sure the price of bitcoin will increase soon. So, why not invest on bitcoin than other alt coin.

investing in alt coins is not suggestible and even i wont suggest any one as it is not stable and reliable, most of the alt coins are just pump and dump. so it is much better to invest in bitcoin as bitcoin is the main source for all coin conversion and value conversion.

Unfortunately there is absolutely no way to tell how much your $300 investment will be worth in 2020. Personally I wouldn't invest in anything else other than Ethereum and Ripple for long term altcoins but that's just me. For short term trading, you have plenty of options but you'll have to do a lot of research. New altcoins are very high risk but the reward is also potentially high.

I agree with you man. Altcoin pumps and when it dumps sometimes it does not pump again so when you buy short trade it then get out of that coin. I have some losses because of that same situation where I bought an altcoin that was dumped then waited for 1 month then after that it's value is less only half the value of my buy price and it had gone down to 1 sat now.

It's natural for altcoin market to lose money on buying an altcoin. If you want to buy another altcoin next time it's better if you do some research about the coin to get high chance of earning money and also avoid losing your money. Don't invest on altcoin for long term if it just a new coin and doesn't have a good road map and also have very few investors.

If Ethereum altcoin was still good, and the price had not fallen, I'll have advised it to you, but now I think it's not a good investment.

I've been traiding ETH and MAID a lot.
I recommend  you keep out of maid,its a shitty coin in my opinion.
But ETH is really nice,i made a lot of profit from it,its kinda easy to predict it moves (on short term at least for me)

If you're going long buy litecoin.

Don't go with the fad of the month and don't go with already pumped coins.

What good does buying litecoin do?  It's essentially just a direct replica of bitcoin that sorta acts as a sidechain that tries to be quicker in tx speed.  It's stagnant as of right now because bitcoin development has been stagnant in the limits with the size of the blocks.  If you are suggesting buying litecoin, I would just go ahead and tell OP just to hold bitcoin because they are in complete correlation with each other.

Other coins you might be wanting to look into are the ones that are obviously trying to do something different than what bitcoin is doing right now.  Eth is obviously a good one, cryptonite/privacy centric coins are another good one (Monero, Dash, etc.).. Just make sure to try and do research your self before buying into some hyped coin.  Go into the community, ask questions, and if you don't understand why the coin is good yourself, then I would advise not to buy it.

I think it is not good for long-term play on altcoins. I even see an example like litecoin, initially has a high price but after several years of falling far enough and hard again increased. better play the short term and do a brisk trade.
