The price is a bit high. Considering it's efficiency compared to modern miners. But it looks in good condition. Can the modules be run independently thorough a raspi running cgminer?

The PSU alone is worth way more than the amount offered.
I am not sure how to run the modules through another raspi (other than the one included). I think you would need the controller board as well and connect it to Rpi's gpio.

The PSU you are talking about only fits specific HP servers. See the description on the ebay page you sent. Also it doesn't have any certification regarding its efficiency, which is important for mining hardware.

The PSU on the miner is this one http://www.super-flower.com.tw/products_detail.php?class=2&sn=8&ID=62&lang=
and it supports all common motherboards. You can use it to build an ethereum mining rig. (the bulk of the initial costs is PSU + GPUs)
And it is 80 Plus Gold Certified. See here https://plugloadsolutions.com/psu_reports/SUPER%20FLOWER_SF-1000P14XE_ECOS%201822_1000W_Report.pdf

Well to be honest, I have never seen a server PSU under gold certification, lots of them are platinium.

While it's true you will never have an atx mobo cable with a server psu, you can purchase a breakout board to get multiple pcie cables out. (no link right now, take a look in computer hardware section)

It's right, if you go for this PSU, you have to be a little bit hacker (in maker sense), I use those to power up Antminer S7, so far no issue.
Yes for that I need to search a bit, how to make the power ON switch, and make a bit of welding.
Anyway those are cheap and good PSU.
