No, I don't think. I suppose that there are a lot of users opening those 'crap' threads for the only purpose to reply with their main/alt forum accounts and be paid by the various signature campaigns. Improve your report to moderator % doesn't give you any benefit.

I'm mostly kidding. However, I am referring to those newbie posts that are so bad that they get 0 replies and are deleted by a moderator within a few minutes (unless they are all asleep). I don't even know why people bother making such posts. Some of them are just random words put together and have zero meaning. If you just report these posts you are literally guaranteed a 100% accuracy rate.

They even get deleted when all mods are asleep.
As long as Mitchell is running the bot checking all newbie posts, those are usually being deleted faster than you can report them.

Not sure if your trolling but reporting really does help.  There are accounts out there that just troll... getting rid of those comments helps forum.  Also there is a lot of spam sometimes a website makes multiple account's and post's crap posts to promote.   And there are some post that are so bad they add what I call one liners like "I agree good info!".   This is just some of the utter crud that pop's up.

I think reporting is a good thing for the forum's.   We don't know what they reported in this... but for them to agree chances are it was utter crap posts.  So I would say it helps forum  greatly having a lot report post's (assuming they are correctly reporting).

I'm at 135 with 93% accuracy right now.  On some occasions me and the mods disagree with what's spam, or something seems scammy but doesn't have enough evidence to remove.  Unless you're just spamming the button the % seems pointless, it's really just a percentage of the time you and the mods agree that something sucks.

Not exactly. There are rules and if you know them then on most cases you can know what is allowed and what is not.
Posts are not removed just because they 'suck' but because they're against the rules. For example scamming is not against the rules. If you report a post because you think OP is a scammer then you'll get it wrong. But posts do get removed when they're clearly illegal, among other reasons.

Moderating is not too subjective, and it shouldn't be. It's the result of applying a list of rules.

It's up to you. You can decide to help the spammers by not reporting and keeping their account safe or help the forum by reporting the spam and help keep everything clean. You can't help both.

I and others asked for updates every now and then, Im not sure they will happen regularly. I think it could be automated, so maybe there is another reason why theymos does not want it.

Keep reporting, you will get the hang of it. I think the forum is in a better state than it appears to be. Often (I assume this hasnt changed recently) spammers are just banned, but their posts not removed. Thus the spam stays and makes it look like it wasnt handled, but it was. Just not removed.
