Trying to get 6 X Sapphire RX480 going on H81 MB, tried win10 and win7. After driver install and after reboot, fails to post. Nada, black screen sometime or BSOD. Even with just one card plugged in on a power riser. Only if I unplug the card will it boot into OS. Thought it was my MB, but I see many 480's running on these boards. I even ordered the H97 Anniversary, thinking its my MB, has not come in yet but Any suggestions?

I am running 3x Sapphire RX 480 8GB, all very stable at 27.3 MH/s each ETH & 546 MH/s DCR ~153w @ each card and temperature is 77C each card.

I will try get a bit more out of them, but this setting have been running without any problem for 4 days straight now. (Switched pool about 3 hours ago)
I am running them at 1100 Core clock and 2200 Memory clock, Windows 10, Crimson 16.7.1.

Does anyone know how many H/s you get from each card on Cryptonight mining with this RX 480 Cards? And what software and settings do you have?

153w dual mining and getting 27.3 on ETH, wow.

i have the same settings ~1000 watt @wall with 6 cards and systems needs ~100 watt

so i have 900 watt / 6 cards = 150 watt per card by 160 MHs ETH and 333 MHs SIA

1100 Core clock and 2200 Memory clock, Windows 10, Crimson 16.7.1? Did you change power limit? What MB and PSU you using? Any other changes from stock settings? Powered Risers?

Yes but voltage controll is not working there.

You might try other GPU tuning software. One example is the Sapphire Trixx. It worked well on the voltage tuning.

here is a set of photos with me trying sapphire trixx on an r9 390

1 r9 390  and the rig pulls 216 watts   the rig drops to 32-34 watts  once I turn the mining off so  182-184 is for mining

I am impressed with sapphire trixx

I am doing a -163mv  undervolt

tiny gpu overclock 1023 vs stock 1015

memory  1000MHz which reads as 4000MHz

fan at 40%

gpu temps are 61c  and vrm = 73c

quiet    pulling 25.9   hash rate

i thought this was a 480 thread? anyeays ive never seen an undervolt that low
hard to belive thats stable

Well I just got it going today on sapphire trixx  so far it is running  if she crashes  I will let you know.

As for this being a rx 480 thread my first two come on tues  they will be posted.  I have a pair of xfx coming on tues then a pair of sapphires coming on the 11th

That's actually just the info I needed Phil (on the RX 480's I mean). Thanks a lot man. Looking forward to it. Smiley

That's really strange. I have 4 RX 480's (just added a 5th) on the H81 board with 4gb cheapo ram and a G1820 CPU on Windows 10. Runs pretty well. What's your PSU? I'm using a Rosewill Photon 1050, which certainly is nowhere near the best, but it's been running good for quite a while now.

I'm using 16.11.5 driver on all my rigs at the moment and they're running just right. However, I did install other drivers on one of my rigs at some point and if I remember correctly, I had similar issues to what you're talking about. Well, not failing to post, but I was getting crazy BSOD's to the point that I could not login and needed to reinstall Win 10. But Windows 10 will put you at like 16.6 and I just install 16.11.5 and I'm up and running. I wish I had more info to give, but that's been my process and it's been alright so far. At the end of the day, it could be your board. You wouldn't be the first person with a bad H81 board. Just read around.
