Biggest loss in Alt-coin

One candidate would be trump coin. After the election it might just die too. Or if trump loose it will also die or if he won and after his term it will soon die. It should die anyway along with donald if possible.

Anyway no matter what happen surely will die,should we dump?

I would have to say it was during an experimental new wallet, algorithm & currency, the wallet was an auto updater with wallet.dat hidden inside the folders unlike normal altcoins.

I mistakenly deleted it when applying the new update and lost all of the coins..... Turns out a few days later those amount of coins I had were around 1.5 BTC worth !

I tried everything to get them back but the more I tried the more I got depressed, I took it as a lesson learnt in cryptolife even for the more experienced.

Wait til its worth of course, if you find its enough for you that 1 trumpcoin is equal to $1 then dump it. It may reach $5 later so maybe you have to wait still until the right time. It might rise good right before election.

tbh i don't recall losing investment on an altcoin due to it dying, but i have lost potential earnings quite a few times due to selling too early.
The most of such potential that i have lost was on litecoin,dogecoin, and nmc. I still made a nice profit, but compared to what i could have been, that's nothing.

I dont think i would change anything in the way i trade, because i prefer selling too fast for lower profit compared to being a bagholder.

I never experience yet what biggest lost in altcoin but in small altcoin sometimes i lose.. i think i lost in waves when the price of waves when it release is 0.025 i thought that the price will increase when it new release but the  result turn into crash..
So i think this is my large or biggest lost in altcoin..

Did you sell all your waves already? That was probably a mistake because it certainly looks like its going to be making a comeback. price was just pushed low to get rid of weak hands and now we can see some actual growth . Its not too late to buy in though , with the amount of support its got its definitely not a dead coin.

Trump coin is getting a big boost on Yobit 2 days ago but now they are dumping the coin,this coin is just a hype and it's not meant for long time usage,because they just use it as Trump propaganda..

My biggest loss was buying an altcoin in bittrex. I can't remember the name of the altcoin but I bought it in ICO.
In less than a year, the coin was delisted and I lost 0.5 btc spent in the ICO. Ever since this loss, I don't buy ICO now and would rather pay higher price if the coin is successful.

I got into altcoin trading with the dogecoindark <--> Verge/XVG namechange. Lifted me up quite a bit.
Afterwards, I bought a small position of XVG around 25 sat and watched it drop to 11 sat, then sold it.

Fortunately, I have not much to contribute here. The only coin with which I made a real net loss because of a bear market is actually Litecoin (yes, I was so stupid that I bought a small amount when it was at $20 because I expected at least a double top), and I lost even the small amount what was left of its worth at ... Cryptsy . In all other coins I had some money into the wins have outweighted the losses.

Ah yes, there is Bitshares too, but in this case it's a very small amount. I went in with a few satoshis when the price was about 1 cent of an US dollar. But in this case I am even optimistic that at some moment it will be worth more than that cent.

Mention Above i also lost a lot on litecoin never thought that it can go that low but i still believe in litecoin and it will make a comeback.

That would be Fedora. I've lost 137 LTC in a buy wall in like 5 seconds when it was listed on Cryptsy. I should add that I accumulated around 3 billion coins (it was extremely easy to mine, I mined like 100-150 million coins/day with only 2.7 MH), most of it sold @ 1-3 litoshi. Can't exactly remember, but my last 450 million I sold @ 25-30 litoshi. And I had a chance to sell @ 160-170. What if I had these coins when TIPS market cap hit $12 million, or even now?

P.S. BlackCoin is a honorable mention, though it is not the subject of the thread. I made around $4,500 profit in 3-4 days, but I've lost roughly $130,000 potential profit after 2 weeks, because I sold it before the real pump.

P.S. Btw the price of BC was 500 satoshi on Poloniex before it hit all-time high ~55k satoshi a month later. Basically 1 BTC becomes 111 in a month. The price of Bitcoin back then was about $460...

There are few underdogs, which are not followed by many people, but apart from them currently Litecoin looks like a "safe bet".

Trump just a pump and dump scheme but you can make huge profits with it if you buy and sell in a right time
