Yep: that's why it belongs on the list. Litecoin seems primarily to be used to transfer funds to/from/between exchanges faster than Bitcoin. This use case will prolly increase given the Bitcoin blocksize clog & the "fee market" thingie.

Don't forget DOGE as well, it has very low fees and very fast transaction ions. Ltc, and Doge are both my 'exchange' coin. Pretty much assured they will be on the recipient exchange's orderbooks, and the networks rarely seem to experience congestion.

Hard to say because there's none. The only altcoin close to being bitcoin is litecoin. But that doesn't even get in your criteria.

Dogecoin, because you can send a tx with only 40 Satoshi and it's accepted in all exchange.

Ethereum may have the transaction volume (including trading purposes) but I believe Doge is the most used altcoin when it comes to real cases. For me it's main advantage is the speed of the transactions , plus the almost constant value due to the high supply.

Yeah. the fact that the dogecoin and litecoin is used in the gambling site that I am playing aside from bitcoin. I considered them as widely used because gambling site will not include those currencies if the people aren't using that.

I think that we all agree that the most widely used coin is bitcoin of course.
But what is next? i would say it is ethereum,just look at it's volume.
About the third place,well  i dont really know,i would say Clam,or maybe Doge,not sure about it.

Don't forget doge too. Aside from bitcoin,doge and ETH I think is widely used. How about LTC or Litecoin? With the addition of more alt coins people are looking for the most reliable,secured,decentralized etc.
