the rm1000 is a lot better quality then the 500 watt unit you mentioned. but getting 3 to run 2 s-9's and using the amazon part is not what I would do. good luck. i talk about Cooler master V1000 its more efficiency I do not think your right on RM1000 and your cooler master being of same quality. I have owned a few of the RM1000's they are good quality but I also use them for video cards/smaller miners not a S7/S9. Your really going the wrong route with these budget PSU's on a brand new S9. You have a LOT of good advice and reason's why people choose quality PSU's. In the end we cannot stop you from buying cheap PSU's but if it goes wrong you really are going to wish you went for a quality PSU. You might read warranty on S9 just the voltage surges would void warranty. I'm not sure why you want to add poor power supply on it, realize your buying a PSU that can last multiple miners. Or be sold after... all these ideas of cheap PSU's, adapters of unknown quality, ontop of your voltage scare me personally.

The RM1000 is used by many miner's it has been tested. The Cool Master V1000 may be a fine PSU but honestly don't think it's of the same quality. But neither of these are really what people are using for S7/S9's. So it is kinda a moot point, but it certainty is better then the 3 x 500's you were looking at.
No offense is meant but you have gotten SO many good options mentioned on what to pick. Your local market might not have them, but ordering online and getting them is worth it. I just am going to wish you luck. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

You may be stuck buying a 1600w PC PSU which will take 120-240v. I can't say how well they will take constant voltage changes, but if it's within the range they will certainly work. Look up an eVGA 1600w G2, they're around $360 USD.
my method of underclocking to freq 462 and buying the evga 1300 g2 is better he saves 160 usd maybe more. he runs at 9.9 th vs 12.0 th so he loses 2 th. gear is much quieter much cooler if it is hot desert he is well off. 2 th is going to earn 160 usd in about 7 months. So he would be ahead of the game for the next 7 months. with the evga 1300 g2 and a downclock. plus much much much much less noise. and less heat This. Maximum hashrate is not optimal solution.

At Your own risk. if the one PSU which gives power to controller shuts down, and 2 blades stil receive electricity from the second PSU, then these two blades overheating and may burn down. (Happened to me with several S7)

Air conditioning is not a good idea for mining.

Air conditioning is not a good idea for mining. why ? Do you have a free or very cheap electricity? Do you have already a powerful enough conditioner for cooling miners? Are you confident that in the future you will not buy more miners ?

Air conditioning is not a good idea for mining. why ? It's probably best to say that "Air Conditioning is not cost effective" for mining. It isn't bad in the sense that it will damage your mining hardware, or decrease your hash rate. One way to think of it is that you can think of an S9 as a 1500W heater. Would you want run a 1500W in a room that you are trying to keep cool? In general, the answer is no. Depending on your environment, you may or may not have much choice. Just consider this in your planning.

Hey Phillip... I noticed your strong advocation for down clocking... A little off topic for the thread -- but: I live in an ungodly large home for just 2 people -- so the noise isn't even heard 99% of the time... However, I am plugging in a 1600W PSU into just a regular outlet (20 Amp circuit) for my S9. I've seen some of the awful pictures of other miners that burned -- Am I OK? Or should I consider sliding the scale down just a bit... I know it says that it pulls 1300W -- but every time I check the kilowatt meter, it was between 1138W and 1194W -- temps are fine (air conditioned environment)... I know that you are an expert -- and reading your advice about down clocking kind of mentally set me back a bit... I'd like to hash as much as possible -- without risk... Thanks!!! Im currently hosting my S9 at my house now using an EVGA g2 1600W from a wall outlet also. I chose to underclock for this exact reason, and also just to be safe. I saw a lot of Phils posts saying that they should be underclocked for many reasons

I saw a lot of Phils posts saying that they should be underclocked for many reasons these are the batches. all have 189 chips all have 2 fans if bitmaintech made the clocks drop from 650 to 550 and kept the fans and the chips the same it seems like common sense to clock them all close the the batch 5 number of 550 rather then the batch 1 number of 650 batch 1 14.0th freq 650 batch 2 12.93th freq 600 batch 3 12.93th freq 600 batch 4 12.93th freq 600 batch 5 11.85th freq 550 my one at home is clocked to 462 until I move it to the array my four at the array are clocked at 600 with monster fans action.
