If you have any GPUs that aren't profitable for ETH, we would appreciate some volunteer miners to help with testing another alternative to the current Ethereum HF options.

Perma is a clean slate ethereum clone. It has no initial allocation or state and an aggressive block reward decay.

Perma will launch when Ethereum hard-forks: its genesis block contains Ethereum's hard fork block hash.

It would be great if every miner paying attention to the HF debate were aware of this option. Ideally there would be multiple pools so a miner could split their hash power and not be left out during liftoff.

We are waiting for the Tempa1 network to materialize. Donate some hash power, for science!

So my ETH paper wallets will also be PERMA wallets that contain my ETH but as PERMA?

No, this is a fresh reset with no initial allocation or state at all. I edited the OP for clarity.

When I try to "make geth"

Code:
build/flags.sh: 13: build/flags.sh: go: not found
build/env.sh go build -i -v -ldflags '-X main.gitCommit828e702d5dba366245c4ee41332bdc8c0a4a1ca0' -o build/bin/geth ./cmd/geth
build/env.sh: 32: exec: go: not found
Makefile:16: recipe for target 'geth' failed
make: *** [geth] Error 127

Will I be able to cpu-mine this in virtual machine?

Hopefully not. Ethereum is dominated by GPU farms at the moment.

$SHF, $EXP, $SOIL & $KR are all fresh Ethereum instances. I already own them all. I am not happy about having to get another Ethereum clone. I would rather see more community joining existing coins over making new ones. I will for sure mine some of this though. "Aggressive block reward decay" sounds really good for early miners.

Yes, it will benefit the early miners and early buyers. Think of it as a proof-of-burn distribution away from Ethereum, not as an attempt to make a "fair" distribution.

We don't know yet, we are having trouble coordinating a HF spec. The deadline is about 37 days, when the attacker would be able to create transactions which would make recovery impossible.

It's exactly the same as for Ethereum. Just connect to the right network.

As an aside, I posted some musings on the hard fork here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1540966
