Since LBRY had a huge premine for reserves to support the project would that keep it out of the realm of being a security?....in theory wouldnt they have had to offer LBC to the public to be considered a security.

Some people think that premines and such are like creating value out of thin air and are in turn considered a security, just curious what lbry community thinks of this. thanks

In my opinion, LBRY is one of the few projects/cryptocurrencies that's the furthest away from being considered a security (this is not financial advice!!!). I don't think simply securing a pre-mine for development puts it in the security category. It's about how the coin was launched and what the purpose of the coin. Here, LBRY Credits are used a utility token on the LBRY platform and not meant for investment purposes.

I'd appreciate very much help on this issue.
Is something going on with coinmine.pl?

A new Baikal Giant B miner (which I way overpaid for), and it says I'm generating 42Ghz/sec.  Mining anonymously on coinmine.pl, and the charts say I'm delivering 20 Ghz/sec.  The Current Hashrate graph has 0-30 on the left Y axis, but 10-50 on the right y axis and the graph line is around 40.  My payouts had been ~ 5 credits every 3-4 hours or so.

What gives?

I haven't seen any LBRY development progress for a long time ago because I plan to invest in a long-term investment, so, I don't care pretty much some news. But after I read the news update, I'm pretty sure LBRY has done many significant improvements and a pretty promising roadmap ahead for LBRY.

Thanks, cool, so it looks like people can publish whatever they want on LBRY. Movies, TV Shows etc. provided they accept they are legally liable/responsible for those actions if they don’t have permission. If that’s the case it could become very popular.

Any update on affiliate rewards yet?
This project is dead with respect to their promotional program and I think it's the only project that I came across which used the services of it's early promoters but failed to give them back what they are promised.

Known Issues:
1) Green screen when accessing subscriptions - go to Settings > Clear the Cache, wait for reload and try again.

Note for Windows Users: You will need to re-accept the firewall warning. Also, the installation path will change from c:\Program Files (x86)\LBRY to c:\Program Files\LBRY due to a 64 bit upgrade. You can remove the old install by manually deleting the (x86) LBRY folder.
