So Saturday is halving day what is your opinion

Hi all Bitcoiners,
i am interested in your opinion will bitcoin price go up or down after the Halving?
Selling now or after halving?

with the halving there has already been a lot of hype and that alone will cause a rise. also the supply will be reduced daily and it can also contribute to the rise a lot.

i will only sell if the price goes up twice the current value. otherwise i will keep holding my coins for the future and bigger rises.

Let's just say i would have my life saving invested during this event, ghat would just be too stressful.
Nobody really know what will happen to the price so just like any other time only invest what you can afford to lose.

So you would or wouldn't have your life savings invested?

I only have what I've earned from bitcoins and a little bit from exchanges (nothing over $50 worth) so I definitely don't have a ton riding on the price of bitcoins but at the same time if they dropped in value I would feel it! Based on the fundamentals I'd have for assume the price will continue to rise over the long term. I feel like the big pump is over and done with.

I don't think we will see major price hike at halving  as price is not ready to move up at a moment, but may be after few days of halving it will start to go up again.

i think the price is going to jump for sure, a lot of people will be buying their bitcoins thus in this way they will be able to push the price up significantly in short period of time i think

I think the price of Bitcoin would go up after the halving, so i think it would be better to sell afterwards. I backup my claim with the graph statistics for the last halving event; so therefore if everything go quite well it should be similar to what happend then. Supply and Demand should bring the value of Bitcoin to great hieghts soon

i think bitcoin price can go both ways, and there is no way of telling which way for sure. but this is only for right after the halving because there will be a lot of excitement and panic at the same time.

but a while after it things will settle down and price will rise above all our expectations.

i have to see the price to decide. i maybe selling some if there is a sudden rise and buy back if there is dip but we will have to see.

But let's take a look after halving , i think the price is slow rising up after halving.

of course the price is going to go up after the halving event because in my opinion people will be buying bitcoins like crazy in order to make as much profit as possible after the halving

I don't know why some of you would make trading decisions based on things we have no control over.  All the info we need is the price.  If it's going down, we go short, if it's trending up, we go long.  Simple.

Basic economic theory says it should go up. Markets are fickle although. We shall see.

Long time expectation to experience halving is gonna get ended. Sure price hike happens on halving, even during past halving everything happened in a short time when no one expected. So lets hope for the best to happen.

It's just my opinions and I think no one can answer this questions. well, we can see in some market or exchange site, the bitcoin price is always going down for now but I'm sure if the going down of bitcoin price is the impact from whale because they want to buy a lot of bitcoin before halving is coming.

Saturday.   Is there something happening on the 18th too?  That's the date that stuck in my head for some reason.

I don't expect anything major to happen,  but I was wrong about this before.  My predictions are just chatter.  I'll definitely be watching.

what a coincidence i also have to give big presentation on coming saturday so i may miss the halving drama. I really like to see reward halving looking at the last block of 25 bitcoin reward but i don't think i can.

i think the chance of price going higher is a lot more than it going down. so i expect the bitcoin price to start going up after tha halving and continue until it reaches the last higher price of $1200

Just sit back relax and enjoy. you don't have to decide whether to dump or buy more bitcoin after halving.
what you can do with the btc at hand as of now is to buy a coin that you are trying to support. this could be a safer way to store the value. if btc drops, some altcoin stays still like WAVES.

i don't have any opinion or any prediction and speculation about the halving i am just getting excited to what will happen after the halving i will watch for it and wait for some changes in any activities of bitcoin .

My opinion is that halving day is just going to be another day, nothing exciting is going to happen on that day rather than any other. Nothing will happen price wise until at least a few weeks after the halving but your probably talking more months. If anything there will be a slight drop from the weak hands expecting to make a quick buck buy selling at the halving. thats not going to happen though.

I felt a couple months ago that not too much will happen.  I thought maybe a surge to 1000k and then a significant dump but now I think it could maybe go to 800 tops - pure speculation thought, DYODD.  Look back to the halving of Litecoin last year you will see that it did not significantly rise like expected..  While volatility with Bitcoin is exciting, stability means it is becoming a respected contender in the financial arena.

majority people will predict that bitcoin prices will increase after halving and some people has suggest to holding bitcoin and sell it after halving dates however seems the prices stuck at $637-$670 since several days ago but in my opinion we will see the prices above $700 and selling after halving might be good for you
