Hi,
I'd like to know what do you think is a good strategy when BTC price shoots up and you feel it's going to come down again. - hold on to your Bitcoin? - Sell it for USD hoping to buy it again cheaper? - Sell it for other crypto (in this case which would you choose)?
I prefer to sell when price is high and buy back when price fall after correction. But sometimes I sell early and price goes up more but that is the part of bitcoin trading. One can never predict precisely how far price would go

The best option is to convert it into USD Then again by BTC with that USD when the prices fall. In this way you can have profits and just profits and no loss. By far this is the best method of increasing your money. Well in the near future there can be better ways to earnBTC /Increase profits.
Very nice but better have a P2P because you will get a higher rate than the fixed exchange. Also been keen and vigilant and see when the btc price go up so you dont miss the chance. What happens mostly is that BTC price go up for very small period and we are unaware of it to get the maximum benefit from changing prices.

I will probably be the best decision that I have to sell bitcoin. Well, I guess that is the basis of trading. it makes us lucky, if we can sell it in a higher price. and, when prices go back down, we could buy a bitcoin with earlier results, but with the amount of bitcoin more.

Certainly, that is the principle of trading even in forex trading. Wether in long term or short investment, in order to get profit, you must be focused on it. Trading isn't for nervous people whom affraid that the market will dump so much, that's how newbie lose their money in trading. Always be smart, patient, and brave in investing like btc.

The important thing is being ready to make a decision because one can never tell what will happen the nest minute in the sense that the next minute could turn out to be better or turn out to be worse but instinct is what matters and be ready to live with the aftermath of the decision of whether selling or holding that might happen. For me, in the last all time high that was experienced, I was confused whether to sell or not because I had read some predictions about what usually happen, when prices go that high but the moment I thought of selling when I come back to check the price soar but the night before the crash I just made up my mind to sell the following morning it was a free fall.
During low price now, I buy at the same time gather the little I can and wait for the right time to sell.

doing what you are describing here needs a day trader and most people around here are only long term holders and newbies which should become long term holders because day trading is not easy and they will end up losing money. also i must add things aren't happening in minutes! at least not as bad as you think. yeah, it drops or rises big time in some occasions but they are rare. and most of the time it takes time (short time or long) for the price to change and sharp rises and sharp drops happen rarely and if you buy at the bottom you won't have a hard time selling as a day trader even if it drops fast.

The second option works for me. It is logical to always sell when it drops and buy them at a cheaper price when it falls further and stabilizes. This needs dedication and maximum attention and above all good trading skills in order to be successful with this strategy.

And desktop wallets are the best. Avoid the online wallets for better safety.

i will sell all my btc if the price very high. and then wait until that price lower to buy again. Same here I'm doing it also when chances occurred ,there were lot of opportunities that I missed before. Its because I'm not that active , but I still earn a bit because I just keep it on my wallet and the btc value goes up

yes if you are working as a trader then it will be your strategy to buy at low and to sell at high but if everyone will sell then it will be harmful for the price of bitcoin because if everyone will sell then the supply will increase and the value of bitcoin will decrease.

You don't need to be lucky in trader you should have skill and strategy to make a good profit in trading. Theres a method that actually makes me 80% sure that you can make profit.. with 4 tier and good margin setup that can makes me good result.. if i stay in bitcoin trading. than altcoin trading.

Obviously sell it / convert it into USD. Like if you would have kept a poll you would have seen more than 50% people voting for converting it into USD. The reason behind it is that , when ever the price of Bitcoins will shoot up , most of the people will convert their Bitcoins into their currency, leading to the fall of price of bitcoins . So i would recommend you to convert them into your currency and then buy bitcoins with that amount and then use 10% or 20% of that amount to buy more bitcoins. Continue this process and one day you will have a lot of bitcoins and by bitcoins i mean a lot of money. Thanks

If the bitcoin shoots up? Half of my coin will be sell off and the other half will be just in my wallet so in case of continues increase of value there are still coins to be sell.
This is a good decision as sometimes some people sell all of his coins when he see a price increased up in the market and after that when he see more increase in the price then he regret that act of selling in the start so if a person will sell some coins and will keep some coins then he will be satisfied as he will also earn from further increase.

But sometimes I sell early and price goes up more but that is the part of bitcoin trading. One can never predict precisely how far price would go yes that is part of trading. no one can be so much perfect in trading, for example in previous days when the price raised to 1150 USD, i still hold by bitcoin and was not ready to sell, although my friend request me to sell it as he already sold his own bitcoin at 1100 USD level. but i continued to hold because it was expected that the price of bitcoin will cross all time high price this time. but now the price is trading below 900 USD and i am still holding my bitcoin because i am still sure that the price of bitcoin will again raise again.

Good strategy, I think sell bitcoin when the price shot up is the right decision, when all people fo panic selling the price of it will be down. So when we have more money we can get more bitcoin.

The method you mentioned is a well-known method of trading when there is some measurable volatility in the price of the bitcoin. One can get even 1.5X or more returns in serious price fluctuations if he knows when to enter and when to exit. It’s like selling bitcoins when it is $1,000 and then purchasing again when it falls to $700 or $600 so ultimately the overall quantity bitcoins and the price of it increases significantly.
