You should have made this post in the "Goods" category. In here people are more interested in global economics than gardening and plants.  Smiley

I'm here about Investing in rare succulent plants, they are easy to grow, the income might be sufficent for living and for many years.
I sell here no plants.
All the price examples are independent and anyone have the possibility of checking the prices on rare succulent plants.

As wainting on BTC growing, there is easier to waiting on Haworthia growing.
Actually are prices over $300 to $1600 for a small plant on ebay.
Every plant is easy to clonate and resell.
Succulent plants are resistant to be long time without ground and without water.

Only "strange" variegated forms of this plants are high priced, they are called too a "rare succulent plant"
The joke is that they give easilly offset plants and this offset plants have the same value as main plant becose they are genetically identical.

Do You will eat a plant of $100-$2500 value? Eat them.
But in the most cases they are with some level of Insecticide and Fungicide for preserve the Investment.

I don't know how plant investors see this as collectibles.
What do you mean rare? Does It mean that it can only occur in 1 out of 1000 plants that's variegated?

in 1 out of 1000 plants that's variegated?

Few from 5000 seeds.
Check this site http://sales.maughanii.com/
and compare with "normal succulent plants" in Your local shop.

I am in the Philippines and I have not seen this kind in my place.

I'm curious too.

This plants grows not so fast, but one time "big" they start to produce offset plants.

For the nature of big prices You will have problems to find a customer in Philipines, i think.

You will need to sell this plants in USA, Europe, Australia, Japan and Sud Korea via ebay and personal site and blog, and for this You will need phyto-sanitarian certificate for Your products for International Shipping.

If You have the rain season in Your area - you will need a repair from rain, this plants love dry ground.
The temperature in Philipines is perfect for Succulent Plants.
Not put Haworthia under direct Sun.

Just buy some "normal" Haworthia and Gasteria for taking the idea how they are growing and how to made from 1 plant many other plants.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JW53V-yGDes

Not use organic ground and fertilizers for the plans, only 3-5 millimeter stones and some perlite in a mix.
Just add a clean water to this plants.
If You will, use fertilizers for "succulent plants" but not give them much fertylizers.

Fungicide and Insectycide is a must.

Seeing this beautiful plants makes me want to taste it.  It seems delicious. Wink  I think we have it before, my mom use to grow this cactus like plant.  If I only knew that it would cost much on the market I will definitely plant more of them and sell it.

Looking at different species of this plant, it gives me interest on growing this kind of plant.
